Everything about this apartment was amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. The setting is beyond spectacular, well worth the extra drive from Funchal. The village is quaint and friendly, with a food market just up the street and beautiful trails nearby. The apartment is large, yet still cozy, and well maintained. And the hosts are wonderful. I can’t say enough about this apartment. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I’m hoping to be back as soon as possible.

Very well located, comfortable apartment. The upper apartments have a spacious terrace. Sarah, the host, is very kind and helpful.

Apartamentos Turisticos Avenue Park is a self-catering accommodation located in Funchal, within 1 km from many shops and restaurants. Free WiFi access is available throughout. Very kind stuff, they gave us a lot of advice. Parking was available, the apartment was big and nice. Daily service exchanged towels and cleaned rooms. It was near the main street and close to the city center, anyway it was not loud for us.

Located in Funchal, Apartments Madeira Old Town are a 5-minute walk to the beach and to the Funchal old town. Lovely location that’s very close to lots of restaurants and the lido. We stayed for New Years and the view of the fireworks from the balcony was out of this world. But the best thing about the property is the host Sarah, she’s such fun and was so easy to communicate with during our stay.

Overlooking the lush Municipal Garden, the Wine Lodges offers apartments in Funchal city centre. Great location and wonderful facilities. Rooms were spacious and clean in general. The staff member were very helpful and provided the parking for us. A great place for family.

Set in São Martinho, within a 10-minute drive from Funchal, Vila Marta offers accommodation with a private terrace and views of the Atlantic Ocean and banana plantations. - Very helpful hosts, who oriented me to the city and its bus system, arranged a taxi at a short notice and even gave me a lift to the aerobus shuttle stop. Thank you Joel and Bruno! - Location a short bus ride away from Funchal city centre (buses #4, 8 and 45 stop nearby). Praia Formosa and Madeira Shopping Forum are within 30 min walk (involves some uphill walk on the way back) - Gorgeous sea view from the room and the terrace (the upside of being on a hill!) - Twin Room as shown on picture, has a kitchentte with stovetop and cooking utensils

Set in tropical gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Suite Hotel Eden Mar - Porto Bay features a lagoon-style outdoor pool. Big room, amazing view from balcony, good breakfast, friendly staff. Very good pools (indoor, outdoor) , beautiful garden.. in general all good.

Cleaning every day, amazing pools, they even gave us champagne for my partner's birthday for free as a surprise. Staff was always smiling and helpful. Location was very good, bus right outside and could walk to city center.
