We enjoyed our stay a lot. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the bathtub was a lovely bonus after a long day exploring the city. The room disposed of everything we needed and the selection of teas and coffee was much appreciated. The host was welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. I would recommend this place without any hesitation.

The space we had was very large for the price! It was decorated beautifully and felt very light and airy. We had everything we needed for a comfortable nights stay. It was also exceptionally clean! The thoughtful extras we had to for example, bathrobes, slippers, choice of shampoos/conditioners, blankets, an umbrella,cereal and fresh milk for breakfast etc were amazing. We got the appt on an offer for £52…. just so cheap for what it is! We would absolutely be wiling to pay between £80-£90 per night as it is so worth that!! Thanks again Maddy!

Nice and peaceful. Around 15 minutes walk to the beach and the seaside, perfect for us. Bed nicely sized, not lots of stretching out space but it's a bed room, bed, lamp, TV if in the mood to watch, all you need. Plus a bottle of water in fridge each day was great Breakfast was really nice as well, always lots of choice

The whole hotel is immaculately and tastefully furnished. The rooms had everything we needed with some nice little touches (fresh milk and water). The breakfast was excellent.... quality ingredients freshly cooked and professionally presented. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome.

The service was excellent and Allison (The manager in charge) was beyond helpful and nice. The included breakfast was good and plentiful to the point that the third day we had to ask for less food.

An absolute gem. Beautiful house with beautiful art - a comfortable living room to read a book in, a gorgeous dining room to enjoy breakfast in, and a beautiful bedroom with exceptionally comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing and the owners took care to accommodate my gluten free needs. The couple that owns the house is a delight to interact with and our overall experience allowed us to get a glimpse into English life while exploring nearby countryside and towns. We had originally booked for 1 night but ended up staying 2 (would have stayed longer if there was availability). The house is also in a great location for both city exploration and nearby towns, castles and gardens.

We loved staying in The Retro Retreat it was a decorated with amazing pieces of nostalgia. It is so well positioned to get into Hastings and easy to find .

Host Tracey is one of the best in this business definitely. She's super kind, organised and helpful. The room was phenomenal, warm, clean, with all kind of complementary services, like coffee, cookies, fridge, smart tv with streaming services, etc. Breakfast included is amazing too, with several options to choose. The view from the room is beautiful, with Hastings port and beach. Highly recommended.

Everything about the Laindons is fantastic; the hosts Karen and Malcolm, the stylish bedrooms which are spotlessly clean and comfortable with every facility you could wish for, a mini bar, robes, super soft towels, quality bedding, gorgeous toiletries, fresh ground coffee, fresh milk, hair dryer. I could not think of anything that had been forgotten. The breakfasts are amazing and cater for all dietary requirements. The location is perfect for Hastings Old Town and there is parking available.

Philip Estats Units

It was like a museum and our grandson was allowed to ring the gong and play the piano. The breakfast was wonderful and the gardens were beautiful. Our hosts were so gracious and gave us lots of info about the place and the area. Loved our stay.
