We loved the old world charm of the large room with it’s bay windows and fireplace. The bed was very cosy and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and spacious with not just a shower but a stand alone bath tub. Extra towels were provided with bath robes and slippers. Also, extra treats provided, for example home made chocolate cake on arrival, were exceptional. Our host was fantastic and the breakfasts she provided each morning were a feast for the eyes and tastebuds. Although the street is narrow, parking was not a problem.

The Loft looks just like on the picture. It is really cozy and nice. Everything is really clean. And it was a pleasure to meet the host, she was so amazingly nice and helped me with my luggage. You just need to be aware that there are some quite steep steps, it is no problem at all, but should be known.

Nice and peaceful. Around 15 minutes walk to the beach and the seaside, perfect for us. Bed nicely sized, not lots of stretching out space but it's a bed room, bed, lamp, TV if in the mood to watch, all you need. Plus a bottle of water in fridge each day was great Breakfast was really nice as well, always lots of choice

Everything was perfect. The hostess was really nice, she prepared a really good and nice breakfast. Room cute and really clean. The bathroom was amazing. You can reach everything just walking. We really recommend it.

We loved staying in The Retro Retreat it was a decorated with amazing pieces of nostalgia. It is so well positioned to get into Hastings and easy to find .

Host Tracey is one of the best in this business definitely. She's super kind, organised and helpful. The room was phenomenal, warm, clean, with all kind of complementary services, like coffee, cookies, fridge, smart tv with streaming services, etc. Breakfast included is amazing too, with several options to choose. The view from the room is beautiful, with Hastings port and beach. Highly recommended.

this location is the old Hastings town and has beautiful views from breakfast room and is wonderfully decorated and super comfortable. The Hosts , Karen and Malcolm, are super helpful and friendly and go way beyond the normal !! and i would recommend this location to anyone.... !

The breakfasts were a feast. The wonderful homemade marmalade, the kipper, the toast kept warm on a tiny burner invented in 1912, the friendliness and humour, even the coffee was very nice. A wonderfully decorated room to share time and food with the owners and other guests. Unforgettable!
