I booked 5 days and stayed for 2 weeks. That should say it all. A perfect little cottage. When you stay here, you suddenly feel like family rather than a guest. The hospitality from George and staff is not to be compared. Hungry? Have a walk through the kitchen, lift the lids on the stove and tell them what you want. The food is wonderful, the feeling of being home, even better. The view and the gardens are both 1st class, the touch of background music from the 70's & 80's makes for a perfect atmosphere. The location for hikers in spot on. Already planning my next extended visit.

We loved everything. Giorgos is a fantastic host that took such good care of us. His place is brand-new and constantly improving. Don’t pay any attention to other comments claiming there is no electricity. There is in fact as well as air conditioning, hot water, and many other ammenities you wouldn’t even imagine coming to an island like Gavdos. And, of course, the dogs ❤️❤️❤️

House was very spacious, with the kitchen and living room on the ground floor and the 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor. It had a spacious terrace behind and it was located within walking distance of the 2 restaurants in Kastri village and the bakery. The beds were comfy and had air conditioning in both rooms. WiFi worked perfectly (I booked the place specifically for the internet, as I was working both days remotely). Overall I never expected to find something that nice on Gavdos island the Villa Kastri was a pleasant surprise.

The staff are exceptional, very helpful and kind. Amazing location. Taverna serves great food with wonderful sunset views. Great beach. Hiking path to Tripiti and Lakoudi beach starts at the hotel. I will be back.
