Absolutely amazing place. Lots of nice pockets to sit and relax, the rooms and the whole hotel are beautiful, and Amani, who runs it, is lovely and incredibly helpful -- we were met at the airport even though we forgot to share our flight time! Could not recommend more.

Un lugar maravilloso donde alojarte en Lamu. Su ubicación, la tranquilidad, la amabilidad del personal y de los dueños. La decoración es preciosa, cada rincón está cuidado con el más mínimo detalle. Puedes pasear por todo el alojamiento, leer en cualquier espacio... La habitación es muy amplia y la cama es cómoda. El desayuno para mi, lo mejor. Todo casero y riquísimo. Si vuelvo a Lamu, repetiré sin duda.

The house is a beautiful gem within old lamu town. The architecture is stunning, the rooms are freshened by fans and the pool is great to escape the day’s heat. The house staff is incredibly helpful and Peter was a great caretaker. We would also warmly recommend arranging a tour of the old town and of shela, as well as a boat tour if one wishes, with Abu. Abu is knowledgeable and loves his job; he is a great storyteller and a great artist (ask to see his recycled art). Walking around Lamu with him and learning about this unique place from him was a wonderful experience.

The staff and manager of the house so helpful. Lots of advice and recommendations where to eat. Also easy to find in the maze of Lamu, close to the jetty but far enough for a peaceful stay

Beytsalam means hospitality. Everything was perfect, from our arrival (with a pick up from the airport arranged by the hotel) to our last day on the island. The location is very good, close to the sea and the port (for a day trip on a boat) and the city center, which makes you really experience the life of Lamu. The hotel manager helped us organise various activities, like a boat trip and a snorkeling trip and all exceeded our expectations: the crew, the food and the experience as a whole were great. He also recommended good restaurants nearby which we really loved. We always felt safe and that we had someone to rely on. The hotel itself is in a very nice building and we really enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace with the sea view. The room was clean and comfortable. We wished we could have spent more days there!

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is always available and welcoming. We have access to a wide range of activities and the hotel is well located, in the center of Shilla and a few minutes by walk from the beach.

The design in this property is amazing, beautiful. The indoor pool is exquisite. The staff was excellent and the apartments large and comfortable.
