Everything! The property was very clean and well kept. Room was large, bed was comfy, shower was humungous with a massive rain head and tub was great too. Pool area was perfect for relaxing. wifi worked well and the breakfast was fantastic. All staff were excellent, polite and attentive.

As my wife and I were waiting to clear immigration in Walvis Bay, Namibia, to get off a cruise ship as we were both very sick and needed medical attention, we booked The Rez Guesthouse for two nights. They accommodated our early check in request, and as we were checking in a few short hours later, Malani, the proprietor, looked at my wife and said: You are not looking well. Do you want to see a doctor? - YESSSS! Within an hour, Malani arranged free transportation to see a private doctor. After examination, the doctor said my wife had to go to the hospital immediately as her lung capacity was dangerously low. Within an hour, my wife was admitted to the only private hospital in Walvis Bay. What does it all have to do with The Rez? A LOT! Malani went above and beyond what was expected of her. When you go on vacation, you don’t expect anything bad to happen. As we learned, it might. Malani literally saved us. And The Rez? Did I mention the nice location in an upscale residential neighborhood only 500 meters away from the waterfront, nice tasteful décor, a cozy courtyard, spacious rooms, upgraded bathrooms, great breakfast (try Ellen’s omelet), and referrals to carefully selected local vendors.

Super la location, direttamente sulla passeggiata della laguna, alzarsi e andare a camminare ( o correre come nel mio caso) in mezzo a centinaia di Fenicotteri rosa mentre sorge il sole è stato fantastico, stupendo vedere il tramonto direttamente dalla terrazza di casa; eravamo a pochi passi dai migliori ristoranti e dalla partenza dei tour, parcheggiato l'auto in garage e non spostata per 24h, Super l'accoglienza e la professionalità di Francois, il proprietario; che ci ha fatto sentire come a casa, ci ha aiutato e prenotare il tour per Sandwich Harbor e il giro in catamarano oltre a prenotare il ristorante per la cena ( The Anchor direttamente sul porto, i calamari più buoni mai mangiati (Patagoniana tubes) !!! Super l'appartamento, enorme , sicuro e dotato di ogni confort, Francois ci ha addirittura fatto trovare il frigo con acqua birra e succhi di frutta tutti in omaggio.. e dopo 400km di deserto trovare una birra ghiacciata che ti aspetta mentre il sole tramonta dietro le vetrate della tua camera.... beh non ha prezzo! Super anche la scelta di stare a Walvis Bay invece che Swakop. abbiamo risparmiato tempo negli spostamenti e ci siamo rilassati un pò.

Huge appartement on 2 floors with 3 double rooms in front of the ocean. Private garage with gate and security system. Washing machine was very useful. Very nice staff on arrival who showed us around the pear and restaurants. They organised us the most beautiful day trip for my daughter’s birthday. Seadrive to see the seals and dauphins with a VIP BBQ on the island and sandwich harbour with dune drive! It was amazing.

When I was searching for where to stay on Booking.com, something told me that this was the place for me. It was! I can't imagine there's a better B&B in town. Haus Schaaf was perfect for me and exceeded my expectations by a very long way. It hadn't crossed my mind that I could have such a happy stay. Truly an exceptional B&B and definitely not like a hotel. This is a place worthy of your reciprocal respect, so if you like the idea of being welcomed to a person's home this is it. For a pure hotel or self catering experience, you'll do better elsewhere. I'm delighted and grateful for all the many details and the big things too - like location, breakfast, communications, etc. Location is right were international tour operators bring people to see the flamingos on the lagoon. Breakfast was excellent: bountiful, freshly cooked and served with enormous care. Everything worked perfectly and I am enormously grateful. The recommendations for the tours turned out to be off the charts. This is a special place. Thank you.
