The room was wonderful - like stepping back in time, with a few modern conveniences. It was my first time sleeping in a loft, which made the whole experience even better. The location was excellent - right on the main square, and easy to find.

The owner of the Casa Luar was fantastic! He gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. He kept an eye on my car parked across the street from the Casa Luar while we hiked 4 days northbound on the area’s Fisherman’s Path. The breakfast was outstanding! Fresh baked bread, excellent coffee, fresh juice, pastries! Very tasty, very convenient and taken together with the room, excellent value for the price. The room was spotlessly clean. The location was very convenient for our purposes and we were able to feel comfortable about parking our car there while we hiked. As soon as we came back 4 days later to retrieve our car, the owner immediately came out and chatted with us!

Excellent value for the money. The room is brand new with good quality remodeling while in a historic building adjacent to the church. The host, Patricia, was extremely welcoming and helpful. This was our best stay during our week-long Fishermen’s Trail hike

We loved everything about our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable - both my sister and I had the best night sleep we've had in ages. The room was clean and quiet, with blackout curtains for sleeping and good wifi ... it had everything we could need or want. The robes and complimentary port were very nice touches. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying for both of us (one of us is a vegetarian, the other is not). The property itself is gorgeous. It happened to be a little too cold out to use the pool, but it looked very inviting. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, and recommended some beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants for us to check out. Next time I'm back in this area I will definitely stay here again, and will recommend it to all my friends.

We stayed for three nights at this magical, atmospheric place. The host Vitor, is friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable; he made us feel welcome and gave us many recommendations for the region’s beautiful spots and good restaurants. The breakfast, served in the garden, was delicious and included homemade jam, honey and cakes. Amazing place, highly recommended to nature, dog and cat lovers.
