Nicely designed wooden chalet style complex ~ very stylish and cool vibe atmosphere ~great breakfast~charming hosts~lovely pool~great attention to detail comfortable beds~ very good wifi ~we had the 1 small room which had tiny shower toilet area which wasn't ideal~the hosts very kindly opened up the next door lounge area to give us a bit more feeling of space which was very kind of them~all the other rooms are larger but we booked pretty much last minute~this is a quality above what's generally available in the area

Breakfast was awesome. The choice and quality were very good. Sitting in the garden with direct view to Lac de Lacanau made it double as good. Together with the very friendly personal it was perfect. The hosts were extremely nice and took care of us very much. Whenever we asked for anything, they made it possible. Rooms were pretty and the garden with the pool is a little paradise.

The hosts have created a piece of paradise, only 45 mins drive from Bordeaux and a short drive from gorgeous Lacanau Lake and the ocean. As soon as you step into La Varangue, you feel the serenity of the place thanks to the water features (pool, fish ponds, jacuzzi) combined with the beautiful vegetation, sounds of nature, and the south-east asian influence. Christine and Bernard make you feel at home right away and their love for this place is contagious. We were there to celebrate my sister's birthday and Christine helped us make it a surprise and we spent a lovely evening under the pool cabana munching on delicious planchas with basque food. We could have easily spent the whole time lounging around the pool because once you're there you don't really want to leave, but we decided to make the most of what the regions has to offer with the lake and ocean nearby and the medoc vineyards. This is set to become my go-to bubble of peace whenever I'm in the Bordeaux region.

La Coloc is a very beautiful place to stay. Its location is only a few minutes away from the long and beautiful beach, it is very clean and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. We simply just loved to stay there. The owner treated us like well-known friends and we already miss the wonderful place she created with loads of love. The location was perfect for quick access to the beach and lake. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The shower and bathroom were excellent. Coffee machine was very welcome and well stocked. There was a bedroom fan.
