Very private in a quiet location that was about a 5 minute walk to the bus for Amsterdam. Our private and separate little apartment was very comfortable and well stocked with all the essentials. The morning breakfast that was delivered was superb and varied every day. Excellent value!!

I love the fact that it's a kilometer away from the busy touristic area. The place was well maintained. The owner, Arnold accepted us warmly that we immediately felt at home. It felt very comfortable having all the small details that counted. I loved the studio tour. It was a pleasure meeting a famous person who was very modest and down to earth like him. The breakfast was fantastic! I wish we had more time to spare.

The location was perfect. It was nice and quiet even though the property was a few minutes walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. Easy access to the supermarket and bus routes into Amsterdam. The car park was close by, free to use and easy to park. The hosts were welcoming and informative and even left us a beautiful cake to enjoy on our arrival. We stayed as a family of 5 and there was plenty of room for us all. We can’t wait to return! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Everything was perfect, we were asked for dinner when we arrived, which was really nice. Communication with our hosts was no problem, especially when we arrived at night 4 hours late, instead of our scheduled check in time. Bathrooms, beds all clean and ready. Breakfast really surprised us, it was big with a lot of meals to chose from. Jennifer and René are friendly and nice people who care of their guests and provide great hospitality. Thank you.

The breakfast was good too, it is served at your table and included fresh orange juice, coffee or tea , a basket of assorted breads, butter, jam, hard boiled egg, and cheese and ham and a small platter of sliced fruit. Diana and Paul were so helpful throughout the stay. Everything is top quality and we found parking easy. Inside our bungalow there was information relating to the local area. We thought Edam was so beautiful and quaint. The streets and houses are immaculate. We would love to return one day. What an amazing highlight of our multiple location European road trip. I slept very well and will definitely come back if i ever need to stay over in Edam again. This tiny home is very near Edam center and also a large supermarket.

It was a quiet quaint and pretty hotel where we watched ships sail by from a flowered terrace while we had breakfast or lunch. Our evening meal was delicious and had a good menu to choose from. The property's location is a short drive to many tourist sites and the staff was friendly and helpful. Next time in the Netherlands we certainly stay at De Fortuna again!
