The Rivulet is located in Hobart and is a heritage-listed boutique hotel. Hands down the most beautiful place I have stayed in Tasmania. Impeccably clean, beautiful room and brand new bathroom. Really lovely breakfast in the morning. Hotel is in in a lovely location just out of town but only a few minutes drive. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The room is perfect and so clean, has everything you need. The view from the deck was amazing too, and within walking distance to the blowhole and going to see penguins! Absolutely loved our stay

Additionally, the hosts have great knowledge of the region and can provide less-known tips for hiking trails, restaurant tips and other activities around Strahan. They are also quite knowledgeable about the history of the place, there is a huon pine tree in the nice gardens of the house and the "Honesty-bar" has a very good selection of wines from mainland Australia and especially Tasmania.

Located in Barrington and only 23 km from Devonport Oval, Barrington Church B&B provides accommodation with lake views, free WiFi and free private parking. The accommodation features a spa bath. Great cooked breakfast. Lovely host, friendly and showed us around beautiful church. Close enough for easy drive to cradle mountain in the morning.
