L'Esplanade Lille is set in the historic centre of Lille in front of the Citadel of Lille and a 14-minute walk from Lille Grand Place. Seriously, this is one of the best hotels I have booked. Ambiance is perfect. The room is lovely, large, comfortable, clean, warm and with a beautiful view. 5-10mins walk to the center and nice bars or restaurants. Breakfast was peaceful, with a nice view and appretizing.

We booked the house to allow ourselves the luxury of resting and enjoying its fantastic Nordic bath in the garden and it exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was very good with local pastries, breads, cheeses and meats. Parking was excellent and safe and secure for travellers with foreign cars. Lille and the tourist sights were convenient to reach by public transport.
