We really felt home. - Abtenau is a very nice town with beautiful environment. Everything in and around the town was very lovely. - The apartment was very spacious and it was spotlessly clean. - The apartment had all the facilities needed and the kitchen was well equipped. - It was a pleasure for us to eat or drink something in the flat with great Alpine scenery. There was also a nice balcony. - We would be very happy to come back and stay there again.

Excellent place to stay with friends or family. Place is very cozy, has all ecquipments needed to prepare either breakfast or dinner. We had some rainy days so were forced to stay in the rooms, but had everything in place to feel comfortable. Location is good to make day trips to different places, either to Salzburg or Hallstatt. But it is also possible to hike right from Abtenau, we had one 5-hour hike, was quite suitable for us.

There are many details in the apartment which show the hosts put a lot of effort into it. We really appreciated it. The surround area is very quiet. There are always several cows with bells on the slope crossing the road. The sound of cowbells only made the area felt even more quiet. It's 5-min drive to the town of Abtenau at which there are several nice restaurants, and supermarket like Spar and Billa. One of the best time for us was that getting some food (still dilicious) back from Spar, then had the dinner at the balcony enjoying the sunset.

There is a lovely walk along the stream through forest to Abtenau itself. Abentau is a pretty village with plenty of restaurants and shops. Barbara is a great host. Even though we do not speak German and she does not speak English we managed to communicate effectively.

A separate kitchen with all the appliances needed and a separate main bedroom, additional bed also available. The location is very attractive. the village also has big supermarkets, restaurants and coffees. it's close to the highway. the communication with the host was online and without any delays.
