The location of the castle is beautiful and very idyllic. We stayed with 7 girls in two of the apartments and had a great time sharing food and wine. At first, we were worried that it would get cold in such a building, but the extra heaters did their job. The spaces were clean, the wifi worked well and we took the table and chairs from one of the apartments to be able to sit and eat together.

The hosts were extremely generous in every way - they let us arrive early and leave late, the kitchen was stocked with plenty of tea, coffee, etc. The restaurant downstairs is very good and offers a 10% discount if you stay at the apartment. Great point of departure for mountain hikes around the area. For snow-related activities you need a car - then you can go to the cable car station for snowshoeing on the Rax plateau or tobogganing in Prein or Semmering.
