We had great 10 days at the Paradise Traditional House (we were 2 people, it is an amazing place for a couples vacation!). The place is so quiet, no neighbors (you are completely alone here!) and you can stay all day outside at the beautiful pool with views to the ocean (ocean is about 2,5 km away from the house). The pool and the view is really the most amazing part of this house, we loved it so much. We spent most of our time on the “canopy bed” right in front of the pool on the terrace, which is amazing because it provides shade during midday. In the garden there is a small house with a washing machine, a lot of trees and plenty of possibilities to sit to eat/rest (in the shade or the sun). We didn’t use the grill. The house itself has two bed rooms with double beds and the kitchen is equipped with basically everything you need (there is a gas stove and electric oven and two fridges). There is a capsule coffee machine (make sure to buy capsules yourself). The smaller tap if the two in the kitchen is actually filtered drinking water, but since we didn’t like the taste, we bought water instead. Make sure to bring soap/shower gel, since it is not provided (and a tip: you will have to let the water run for a long time to get hot water for a shower, but it works). Cleaning utensils, towels and bed sheets are provided, there is also a dishwasher in the kitchen. The communication with Maria was fast, helpful and very kind. She sends you all the information on how to get into the house and a lot of local recommendations via Whatsapp (you will need Whatsapp for this) which is very helpful and Check-In was easy. She was always quick to respond to any questions that we had prior and during our stay. There were even some bottles of drinking water, milk and wine provided when we got to the house. We have just spent a perfect week at Orchard View Cottage. If you want peace and quiet and to be away from all the crowds, this is the place to stay. The pool was for our own use with loungers and a shady area and with a lovely view. The village of Maroni is extremely quiet with one taverna called Piazza Maroni (a varied menu) and one small shop for provisions. Unfortunately The Old Coffee Shop was closed the whole time we were there. There are various tavernas not too far away e.g.The Tochni Taverna and the Retro Bar but you will need a car and a reliable SatNav as a lot of the small roads aren't sign posted and some of the road surfaces aren't brilliant. The quiet coastal resort of Zygi is about 8 mins away by car and Limassol is 20 mins. Melanie is lovely, very helpful and we enjoyed our occasional chats. Although she lives next to the cottage, she did not intrude at all. When it was time to leave we were so relaxed that we wished we had booked for another week. We will definitely return.

The patio and the ceiling-to-floor windows in the living room and bedroom made this place an absolute dream! I could have spent weeks just sitting up there looking at the harbor and the ocean.
