We love the lodge. Beautiful surroundings with gorgeous trees. Spotted some rabbits jumping around in the fields. Beds are comfortable. They have prepared the sofa beds ahead of our arrival so we didnt hv to wait for it . Fully equipped kitchen so we could prepare our dinner every night. Toilets are good eventhough the water pressure is abit low. No problem in requesting fresh towels after our 2nd night of stay.

Set in Colchester, in a historic building, 28 km from Freeport Braintree, Prince Cottage is a bed and breakfast with a garden and barbecue facilities.

Exceptionally friendly hosts. Excellent food and drinks. The room was small (I knew that beforehand) but with a very good bed and a desk to work on. Thank you Dee and Märchioness!

how spacious, clean and cosy it was the big bath was unreal!! loved it we will be coming back in summer to enjoy the outside area too.

I really enjoyed my stay.The Chalet was cosy,comfortable and spotlessly clean.The decor was smart and the kitchen facilities were excellent - they had everything you could want. Also, very important for me, was that it was extremely quiet and very good for getting a good nights sleep. Car parking was in a private drivewayin front of the property. The nice touch of arriving to find milk, bread, butter, jams and eggs was very much appreciated

Absolutely spectacular property - stunning inside & out! It was such a treat to stay here. It had everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. John was an extremely helpful host and a real gentleman. The surroundings were tranquil, for the most part. The wildlife was beautiful.
