The bar and bar food are very pleasant, with a wholesome pub grub on offer. It's about 12 minutes from Dover Eastern docks ideal for an overnight stay prior to boarding an early boat. With the wait times for French customs and the problems of the M25 that is to be recommended. The beds are comfortable.

Tastefully decorated room that was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Shower was very good and the bed was perfectly comfortable. Plenty of tea/coffee making supplies. The evening meal was huge, hot, fresh and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was at extra cost, but again was top quality and worth every penny. Located in a peaceful village, but only 15 minutes from Dover and about 5 from Deal. An exceptional experience.

There were all the utensils we needed. Even though it was cold and wet outside, it was warm and cozy inside. The owners left us to our own devices, but with clear instructions on how to get hold of them, should we need to. A short walk into the village was a great pub.
