The 40Winks guesthouse in Durham exceeding my expectations. The guesthouse is situated perfectly in order to have access to the Durham city center, but also feel out of the bustle of the city. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make us comfortable and ensure we enjoyed our stay. I cannot recommend them enough!

I did have some issues activating the keypad and had to reach out to the host who promptly responded. Once I got the hang of it there were no issues. The accommodations were GORGEOUS and were in the BEST spot. There was so much to walk to including stores, bars, restaurants, and row boats that you row yourself!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Plawsworth Hall Serviced Cottages and Apartments, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. The property is located in the idyllic village of Plawsworth, just a short drive from Durham City. The setting is absolutely stunning, with rolling hills and lush green countryside all around. The cottages and apartments themselves are beautifully appointed and spacious. Our two-bedroom apartment had everything we could possibly need, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, and two bedrooms. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept like babies. The owner of the property, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He was on site to greet us on arrival and gave us a tour of the property. He also made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. We spent our days exploring the beautiful countryside around Plawsworth. We visited Durham Cathedral, Hadrian's Wall, and the Beamish Museum. We also enjoyed some great food at the local restaurants. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Here are some additional details about our stay: The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. The beds were super comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent. The food was delicious. We would definitely stay at Plawsworth Hall again. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy

Set in a wooded area this seemingly little hut doesn’t give away its astounding interior. The interior has a WoW factor with cottage style decor, quality appliances and superb design. It even has a large modern shower. Hidden away was a pull down comfy double mattress. It must have great insulation because when it rained it I couldn’t hear it and felt warm and cozy.
