Overlooking Melrose Abby and Priorwood Gardens, Pear Cottage is a self-catering apartment in the historic old town of Melrose. Updated with modern conveniences, it still retains its old world charm. It was clean and spacious. The bedroom was in the back of the unit so it was quiet. The on-site parking was a bonus. Helen Stewart, who manages it for the National Trust of Scotland, was genuine, kind, helpful, and a pleasure to talk to.

Good choices for breakfast, freshly prepared with homegrown produce, absolutely delicious! We had a absoloutely wonderful stay & would thoroughly reccomend.

Victorian decor in the house Giant victorian bathroom Fabulous host who is a great repository of local knowledge and is always forthcoming with sharing it.
