A surprising gem. Breakfast was truly outstanding, a notch above. Owners were friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate us since we had no car. The nearby villages of Portloe and Veryan were delightful (pub in Veryan was as authentically local as they come). Room was comfortable, homely, and perfect for us. Good stop for group hikers on the Coastal Path, since it's not too far away.

Breakfast was top notch continental and June made delicious fresh cakes every afternoon for guests to enjoy later in the day. Both June and Greg were very informative about the area and were helpful and accommodating in every way! Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommended!

Our stay was memorable and pleasurable because of the combination of nice accommodations, lovely natural settings, and convenient access to Cornwall's attractions. This apartment is highly recommended to anyone searching for a relaxing and handy location to enjoy Cornwall's delights.

Polgwedhen Lodge is a secluded lakeside holiday home surrounded by extensive gardens, private grounds and wildlife.

This is brilliant. The lodge overlooks a picturesque lake, complete with resident nesting ducks. There is a kitchen / dining / sitting area, along with a generous-sized bedroom (four poster bed) and separate bathroom. Upon our arrival we found scones, jam and cream waiting for us and a lovely welcoming note. We met our hosts the next morning, and we loved hearing about how they had built the lodge themselves. Definitely one of the best we have ever stayed in.
