Lovely cottage set in an expansive garden. The pool is well kept . Very clean with a lot of attention to detail that shows pride of ownership. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. You can walk to some of the grocery stores and restaurants. There is so much vegetation that you barely see the other guests. The mosquitos were manageable.

Comfortable King size bed, the beautiful decorations in the room, mosquito net, small outdoor kitchen with everything needed, clean, welcoming host who has lots of information. Lovely little pool with self service bar with many different rums. The friendly dog called 15. Preferably have a car but it's not too far to walk to town and beach but steep hill! Probably the best place we have stayed in Guadaloupe in this price range. Highly recommend.

She has all kind of equipements you can need when you travel with a child. We loved the stay and we will come back for sure.

We absolutely loved everything about our two weeks stay at Le Jardin des Ilets. Vince & Christine made us feel extremely welcome and were always available to answer any questions or ask advice on where to visit. We stayed in ‘Calibri’, one of eight individual homes located at the top of a steep road at Malendure located north of Bouillante. There are fabulous views across the neighbouring beach and Jacques Cousteau Nature Reserve. Every evening, we were treated to an amazing sunset! All facilities were modern and clean, the bed was comfy, with separate toilet and shower area. Hiring a car is the best way to explore the island and it was easy to park at Le Jardin des Ilets. Sliding doors give access to a large decking area with large table, chairs and hammock from which you can enjoy the marvellous views over the bay. There is a separate kitchen area with a sliding door onto the decking area. This came equipped with fridge freezer, hob, oven, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and lots of the usual kitchen equipment. The purpose of our visit was to explore the local area, go snorkelling, try local food, drink rum punch, rest and enjoy the beauty before us. We especially loved spending time at the swimming pool which was well looked after and beautifully clean. The internet/Wi-Fi provision was excellent.

Suzy was very friendly and did her best to communicate as we spoke no French. She welcomed us with a nice bowl of fresh fruits and explained the property thoroughly. The location is walking distance to Plage de Malendure which is very popular and also the place to rent gear to kayak and snorkel at the Jacque Cousteau Reserve. Being centrally located on the west coast of Basse-Terre is a plus. Indoor parking and a well apportioned kitchen. Great place to stay!

The location is superb for exploring Basse-Terre. We visited the Botanical Gardens, the town of Deshaies, and Parc de la Source just up the hill (wonderful waterfall). Great local bakery (we recommend the flan and eclairs). Everything was perfect. Our last morning, we were greeted by a magnificent rainbow, making the view even more wonderful. It is very well designed, and you will find here everything you need for a good vacation. Villa is near beach where you can rent a kayak and go explorer nearby island, or swim with the turtles and other sea life right from the norther part of the beach. Access to the villa is a bit off the main road but for us this was a plus.
