If there is paradise on earth it is Harry´s Ocean House in Pacitan. Everything about it is beautiful. The dorm, where you basically sleep in the open, the common area, everything. It is a place where you will find chill people, can enjoy surfing with literally no people in the water (apart from the people staying at Harry´s and few locals) and not many other tourists. For me it is the spot to learn how to surf, since it is a beach break (safe), only few surfers, but still some good swell. It is perfect for relaxing and extending your stay to more than just a few days (I ended up staying a month). You can rent a surfboard and scooter for a really fair price (cheapest I have had in my travels). Tina and Gayun who run the hostel are super friendly too. I am already planning to come back at the end of my travels :)

The beach is super close by and the owner, Cuboh, was super friendly and helpful, definitely the best part about staying here. You can rent surfboards from him and he had good recommendations for restaurants around town. Ask him about the local sea turtle rescue project and if you’re lucky with the timing of your stay you’ll be in for a truly unforgettable experience
