This is the most beautiful homestay we have ever been to - not only in Sulawesi. If you have the chance to stay here, you should do it. Meyske, her mother and David are wonderful people with whom we would have loved to spend more time, even though we already extended two nights. :) The Homestay is a very clean and cosy place and the food is absolutely amazing. Best we had in Indonesia so far. We went on a two-day tour with Meyske diving into the culture of Toraja and it was indescribable. Meyske makes sure that you can better understand the background of the Toraja in a unique way. Thank you for being such an inspiring woman and sharing your story with us!

We had a wonderful stay at Mama Tia Familiy Homestay. From the first moment on we felt like home. Delicious breakfast and very comfortable room! We did a funeral ceremony with Yansen, who also showed us some traditional Torajan places which was fantastic. We also rented a scooter with him. His wife cooks great food and the views from the terrace are very peaceful. We recommend 100% staying here and would love to come back someday!

Amazing place to stay! The owner Ibra is the most welcoming, helpful and friendly host we met. The homestay is very clean, rooms are spacious and breakfast is delicious. We would recommend this to anyone staying in Tana Toraja.

The guest house was a wonderful gem in the middle of Rantepao, conveniently located near all the Tana Toraja points of interest. I had a traditional Torajan home all to myself and it felt so special. The place was extremely clean, had all I needed. It is part of a typical Torajan family's compound. Aldi, the host went out of his way to help and assist me with everything. He even waited for us until late at night (and I felt horrible about it, because it was like 1.30 AM when I arrived), as I was driving from Makasar and arrived later than expected. He organized a 2 day tour with Mr. Ino (also recommended), who showed me around the main sights at VERY reasonable cost. The place was spotless, comfortable, and felt like I was in a documentary. Absolutely recommended. As for Tana Toraja.... it is a unique corner of our world. Make sure you spend at least 2 days there to see everything. Ask for Ino's services.

A wonderful destination for the most surreal and bountiful of places. I would recommend this quaint, traditional and secluded homestay to anyone. The simple kindness, the all-encompassing scenery and the generous hosts. It is basic, but that's makes it all the more beautiful. Also, John will gladly take you around with a smile upon his face, and even take you to a funeral if you are lucky. It was one of my favourite experiences of my trip!

A great location if you are here for tourism. Located in a private and quiet forested area, the traditional house is a special and relaxing place to stay. The bed is fine and has proper bedsheets unlike other homestays in Indonesia. The bathroom is new and has a recently installed hot water shower. Mama Valen prepares a great breakfast and dinner according to your request

Breakfast was very good expecially the coconut pancakes. The house is 10 minutes by walk from the main road, surrounded by a beautiful rice field.
