Yvonne & Michael are lovely hosts. Very kind and welcoming 😀 They've done a wonderful job restoring the cottage with super insulation, solar panels and a heat pump! It's located in the middle of a gorgeous mature garden with useful out buildings. And the views of the bog are spectacular. The sea isn't nearby but you can drive or walk to it. The cottage is very confortable and well laid-out. Great WiFi, x3 Google nests, no TV but you can bring a smart TV or Chromecast to stream smoothly. Beautiful scenery all around with great scenic walks (bog, countryside, seaside, hill). The family loved the experience of living in an authentic thatched cottage for a week! The house and the owners were really lovely - it was a fabulous stay because everything was great. The place is really quiet and peaceful and the road was just right for taking our old dog for a walk. It was also fabulous to be able to take our dog on holiday with us. The kitchen facilities were amazing. The hosts had practically everything (and being a chef it really made a difference having the kitchen kit) The shower room was fab too - a great powerful hot shower. And lovely little comforts of shampoo, conditioner and soap. Although they were off site the bee hives were amazing to watch

(After the Waterfront Hotel from the village, to the left, where the yellow and red wall is). The house is very nice, and the room was absolutely lovely, with sea view, very well decorated and very clean. We had a lovely chat with the lady about Slieve League in the morning after breakfast (very generous breakfast) and her 2 cats are adorable. We would happily stay there on our next visit!
