How wonderful to see a property with so many of the small things that make the big difference. Bedside tables, great lighting, shampoo sachets, super bed and sheet and blanket - all spotless. Best of all the staff communication before I even arrived checking I was ok - then resolving a tuk tuk price dispute on my arrival - helping me get away transport wise - and the ultimate location for the boats and shops and bus station. Josey's Homestay is a bit special - Josey and her brother really look after their guests - I had to leave for an early morning flight and they kindly made breakfast for me. They offer to do clothes washing if you need it for an extra INR 200. I could make tea in the littke kitchen and there is a communal dining / seating area. The rooms are simple and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower works well. I used the ceiling fan - if you need A/c their is an extra charge. I prefer fans. It was in a great location in the old Fort area and e cellent value for money.
