Where to begin. This was by far my favorite experience in Cambodia. Living with this amazing family was so exciting! Now, you can’t be expecting luxury, 5 stars etc, but when you’re ready to fully dive into a local family’s life & home, then look no further. Pov and his wife & kids are so welcoming & kind and try their best to make your stay perfect. I didn’t have time to do big jungle treks, so instead, Pov took me around the area, visiting the best spots, and let me hang out with him and his friends in the evenings! Him and his wife also made sure I wasn’t starving, and even cooked vegan meals for me. I loved my time here and would definitely come back! Maybe in the future! Choul mouy my friend!

Smey was the best host we have ever had! He can organize almost anything for you in Banlung and beyond! He supported us with so many things, from organizing an amazing 2-day jungle trekking adventure to making sure we make it safe and sound across the Laos border. Smey is such an amazing person and we always enjoyed sitting together with him in the evenings and listening to his stories. (We stayed 5 days) Not only is Smey an amazing host but his Homestay is such a beautiful and peaceful place. Perfect to calm down, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. On top of that, the food is also delicious! I don’t know what else to say: if you want to have a great experience in Banlung, stay with Smey! :)

The family is very welcoming and friendly. I felt at home the first day. Good hospitality. Very helpful to help you organize everything (tuk tuk , trekking etc). The guests was very friendly too. Incredibly nice and open-hearted family with lots of good visions for the future. The self-built homestay has a detailed and charming character and eating together at the family table was very personal and nice(and of course very delicious). In addition, my friend and I got a good impression of the weekly English lessons that they give for free to the children of the village. They also have a good and customizable offer for jungle trekking with local guides. Thanks for the nice time and my recommendation.
