We loved the hospitality Vanda and Leo showed to all their guests. From the moment we arrived it was like we already knew them. The room was super spacious with a view over the garden to the pool. All the guest facilities were well laud out and comfortable with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the solitude of Sapphire Garden Hotel. Having a pool was a bonus on the hot days. We ate our dinners at the hotel as the food was so good and plentiful. Both breakfast and dinner were big enough not to need any lunch😂. Thank you Vanda and Leo for looking after us so well. And thank you Kumara for always smiling and showing us a happy face.

The location of the property is perfect for exploring Habarana, visiting Sigirya, and Dambulla. It is a short distance away from the best tourist spots like Lion Rock and the viewpoint, and the host took us to every place we wanted to go in his tuktuk for a really good price. I highly recommend staying here is you want to see Habarana/Sigirya/Dambulla sights as it is a short distance from the Habarana train station and all of the top attractions. We got picked up from the train station and dropped off at the bus stop, and got lots of help with getting to/from places. The hosts organised an elephant safari for us at a very good rate, and it was an amazing trip that I would highly recommend (we saw over 70 wild elephants and got a private tour!). They also had recommendations of things to do and see in the area, such as the local spice garden, and helped us to get there in the tuktuk. We had breakfast and dinner at the homestay every day and it was absolutely delicious. We ate on the balcony which was a really nice touch. The room was incredibly clean and spacious, and was very comfortable despite being the non A/C room. The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating, and couldn’t have done enough for us. They were so helpful in every way and I can’t recommend staying with them enough.

L'host è molto gentile, sempre disponibile per ogni evenienza, ci ha organizzato tre giorni di tour molto bene e a prezzi onesti. Colazione fantastica. La casa si trova molto vicino al centro ma allo stesso tempo non è sulla strada principale quindi è molto tranquillo e silenzioso. Consigliatissimo!

La posizione è strategica per fare tanti tipi di escursioni in zona. La struttura è composta da singole villette singole e le camere sono carine ed accoglienti. Molti animali e rane ma è comprensibile data la sua posizione. La piscina era torbida e c'erano molte zanzare per cui non ci ha ispirato tanto. È vicino ad un centro di trattamento ayurvedico che abbiamo provato e che è stato bello e rilassante. I gestori sono gentili e ci hanno accontentato in tutte le richieste. Colazione buona mentre la cena non ci ha soddisfatto.

We particularly enjoyed the "homestay" atmosphere. We immediately felt like at home visiting friends! The warm welcome of Isabelle and the crazy excursions with Moses have made it a memorable stay. We feel their love for this marvelous country and the need to share it with their guests. In addition Moses is also a great cook so dinners have been a real delight every night. This stay will remain in our memories forever.

Very nice location on the shore of a wonderful lake with plenty of birds. Great family running two rooms bungalows. Very clean room and bathroom, very good WiFi and delicious food for breakfast and dinner cooked in house. Also very good AC for the hottest moments of the day. The place is very private since the bungalow is separated from host house and in front of the bungalow you have a nice place to relax. Highly recommend this welcoming family. They provided every day some local drinks or snacks, to find out more about local food. You can reach the place by public buses easily if you get off the bus at the post office and from there is 100 meters by foot. Or the host may pick you up by tuk tuk. Also you can arrange trips by tuk tuk with the host at very good price. Really appreciate every day spent at this place. Thank you for such a lovely stay 😊

Camera accogliente, moderna e spaziosa; lenzuola molto pulite. Abbiamo dormito molto bene! La struttura è immersa nella natura, potrete quindi godere di pace e tranquillità! Colazione fantastica con prodotti del territorio, l’host è stato così carino da organizzarcela molto presto la mattina, poiché dovevamo alzarci presto per fare un escursione! Il ragazzo (scusa, non ricordo il nome!) è gentilissimo, molto simpatico e pronto ad aiutarvi! Grazie per la tua ospitalità! A presto!

This is my 2nd time at this lovely, clean and spacious homestay. It is the warm-heartedness of the owners, the delicious home-cooked food, the beauty and peacefulness of the surroundings, the birdsongs, the flowers that draw me back to the place. There’s even Air-con in the room now, and an additional airy open dining place was also added. Very nice indeed. Jeewa, the owner, also help out tourists even when they are in different parts of Sri Lanka. Please check with Jeewa for suggestions for visits around Habanara and also various parts of Sri Lanka which he is fully knowledgeable. I was glad his family was able to join me for part of the tour of Sri Lanka. It is always easier to have a local to find out the best food and things to see. 😍 And they are friendly and trustworthy. One feels safe with them and when Jeewa is the tour guide. 😊 I look forward to staying at Oleena again. 😍
