Beautifully renovated house in the old jewish quarter. Elegant antique interiors. We had our breakfast outside the kitchen on the third floor overlooking the roofs on the buildings around. The host was exceptionally nice and showed us around the newly renovated house, with the basement from the 15th century. Viseu is a beautiful city and worth visiting.

I have to say that this was one of the best apartments I have ever been to! It's is very comfortable and cosy, well arranged and with style. Kitchen is perfectly equipped, you can cook and bake. Beds are sooo comfortable! Entire place was very, very clean when we arrived. During our stay Carlos asked us when we'd like to have our room cleaned, towels changed and bed done. Communication with him is very easy and you can feel he is taking care of you. The place is also good if you need to work remotely. The chairs by the table are very comfortable, the internet is good (>130 Mpbs), more than enough for remote calls. Location is good as you can have an evening walk in the old streets of this medieval city, there are stores not so far if you need to do groceries (Spar) and parks are not that far away.

Our stay at Viseu Ryokan could not have been better! It is a unique, serene experience, in a very clean, modern, small hotel, installed in a historic building. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond with help. We took advantage of the spa experience and with rainy days it was a treat to take a sauna or schedule a massage, in between walks through the historic center of Viseu. Breakfast was delicious, and tea is readily available. We grew to feel at home at the hotel and in Viseu.

The studio apartment is situated in the heart of the city on a quiet street. Some people might think it's too little, but I guarantee you that it's more than adequate for two or three people (maybe even four). It has a minimal aesthetic that I find enjoyable, with what appears to be carefully considered and selected materials. The apartment may be warm in the summer but the unit has air conditioning, which will be helpful in any situation. All of the essential minor appliances are present, including a good size smart TV (gets extra credit for the small dishwasher). A wonderfully pristine and cozy setting. The host, Joana, is immensely helpful and kind. I sincerely recommend it if you're planning to visit Viseu.
