Jose and Socorro have been amazing with us all around. Jose built the place himself out of lava rock. Don't expect luxury and you won't be disappointed, you're on a volcano after all. They guided us to the top of the volcano and back, accompanied us around the area and drove us back to Sao Felipe on a sunday, when no collectivos are running. A magic place, super energetic and positive hosts, great cooks and helpful hosts.

Veel dank voor regelen collectivo aluguer vanaf de haven!! Wandeling naar inferno heel goed te doen, ook als je wat minder conditie hebt: stap voor stap. Wat een belevenis!!!

Great Location, fantastic staff, very good food. Staff was always helpful and super friendly. The organization of guides, collectivo were perfect and the area is breathtaking. Don’t miss watching stars at night!

We took room with bathroom and shower. Room was absolutely amazing. José was there for all our needs. He is a man with golden heart for people. He also guided us to Pico. I highly recommend

Henry en zijn vrouw zijn zeer gastvrij,behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Dit verblijf is een aanrader voor iedereen die op zoek is naar rust. Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid met alles wat je maar wenst. Ook is het avondeten een aanrader en hoef je hiervoor niet naar het dorp te gaan.

Casa Ze & sonia bevindt zich in Portela en biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en uitzicht op de bergen. Er is een volledig uitgeruste eigen badkamer met douche en gratis toiletartikelen. Ze and Sonia were super nice, friendly and accommodating. They could speak French relatively well. The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

EcoFunco bevindt zich in Portela. Er is gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Er is iedere ochtend een continentaal ontbijt beschikbaar bij de bed & breakfast. The best customer service! The host Lea was super helpful before we even got there. She answered all my questions very quickly and provided lots of information. They arranged the shuttle service for us as well as a guide to climb up the volcano. João himself is a guide and you can book him. Obviously the location is perfect and you have a beautiful view of the volcano right from the room. Make sure to eat at Isabella's next door, her food is delicious and she was such a warm and wonderful person. All in all it was a wonderful experience!

Yulia was an incredible host. We took our time to have a deep conversation with her about life in Fogo. She made us feel like part of her family, she shared with us all Cape Verdean values. She is an incredible cook and an amazing woman who made this journey very special for us. The dinner was massive and extremely delicious, her chicken in tomato sauce and the vegetarian cabbage dish left us speechless. Yulia appears to be a respected member of Mosteiros society and people spoke very well of her, her neighbours gave us fruit for free and were happy to chat with us. If you speak Spanish and you are patient enough, Mosteiros and Yulia can offer you an unforgettable experience.

Tortuga B&B biedt een restaurant en accommodatie met een tuin, een terras en een bar. Strand van São Filipe ligt op een paar minuten lopen. Er is gratis WiFi. Treasured the breathtaking expansive black sand beach surrounded by mountains and basically having it to ourselves. Peacefulness. Roberto (and his cute dogs) are attentive hosts. He proudly provided a fine dining experience. This was a very natural experience in the outdoor bungalow, beach and tropical grounds compared to the large chain resorts that we normally stay at. Loved the very memorable two days there and great overall value.

I was upgraded to a room with balcony facing the sea. Absolutely delightful sight. Very quiet hotel with everything you need. Of course it's very impersonal, a generic hotel room, so if you're looking for an authentic Cabo Verdian experience this is not for you, but if you're looking for a clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable place to rest, it is perfect. The cleanliness was not perfect but was pretty good ; nothing too problematic. The AC is a huge advantage!
