The location is beautiful, the premises hyper clean, spacious and comfy, everything taken care of to the smallest detail, the wide choice of breakfast was gorgeous... And Jan, our host...there are no words to describe his helpfulness, amicability, and readiness to make our stay unforgettable. He gave us lots of practical information on the area and activities and made our stay very easy and enjoyable by organising all the activities we did (rafting, volcano trekking, local day trip, national park visit and transfers to and from the airport) for a very reasonable price. Jan is the epitome of a super host. If we ever come back to Sulawesi, no doubt we'll stay at Ilasan Cottage again.

Such a great experience. The lodge is located very close to the beach where the boat drops you off. The rooms are very comfy and have AC. Be prepared for a bucket shower! Dion is very friendly and helpful, the diving is very good value and the crew are kind and very good at their jobs. The best part for us was the food!! All three meals are included and the home cooking is really incredible and delicious, they should.open a restaurant! We miss it already Overall we highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again

Well located near Blue Shark, cheapest diving center, the rooms are comfortable, best for we are in Indonesia and great quantity, and the host are just amazing. Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. The place was so peaceful, and the house reef a 10 minute swim away. Good coral and lots of fish. It was so nice that divers and snorkelling were with the same boat. Food is good. It is not spicy, but there is delicious sambal to add if you like. There is a fridge full of cold Bintang and soft drinks. Things are well organised, and Willeke is great and kind host. We had a wonderful time PS. We read that the beach could be polluted with rubbish. But is our travels we have seen that this can happen at any beach if the current is in that direction. When we were the beach was clean
