It is a special place. Maybe not for everyone, but for us was really good. We staid right on the edge of the lake. We always heard the waves. The cabin is equipped with all you need. The architecture is much nicer than the pictures. Also, Che is a really great person. Thank you!

Ananda Guest house is located on the slopes of the Maderas Volcano on Ometepe Island, 19 mi from the port of Moyogalpa. Beautiful location. Walking distance to main road with some nice restaurants within 30 mins. Information booklet in the room was helpful. Help to rent mopeds, organise transport, guides etc. The room was spacious, bed was really comfortable, hardly any creepy crawlies (this is a complaint from many of the eco lodges). Good wifi. 2 fans which was nice. Good shower pressure and temperature.

Isang jungle hostel ang Finca la Magia sa maliit na organic farm na matatagpuan sa labas lang ng San Ramon, 40 km ang layo mula sa Moyogalpa. Amazing! Well ‘off the beaten path’ for folks who need minimal creature comforts aside from a comfortable bed and beautiful surroundings. Well maintained bungalows raised up over the finca. Incredible and private outdoor showers. Delfa is not only amazing but incredibly patient if you have limited to no Spanish. She’s also an amazing chef who makes beautiful vegetarian dishes from scratch.

Set in Moyogalpa, Casa de Gio offers free WiFi and units fitted with a kitchenette and seating area. Some units have a dining area and/or a patio. Helpful & welcoming staff. We had the option to upgrade to air conditioning for an extra $10/night. It was hot, so we took it. The staff connected us to reasonably-priced & trustworthy scooter rentals, so that was a real bonus. They also prepared a breakfast for us at short-notice when we realized we wanted to catch a ferry at a certain time, so that was appreciated. Other reviews mention "sketchy characters" around, but nobody bothered us out on the streets at all. Definitely recommended!

Featuring a garden, bar and views of mountain, La Sirenita - Ometepe is set in Altagracia, 6.2 km from Maderas Volcano. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free WiFi. The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Located in Esquipulas in the Ometepe region, La Casa del Artista features accommodation with access to beauty services. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Amazing location on the sunset side of the island with a private beach. Great value for money. Very friendly owners with great communication. They make lovely meals. Room was basic but everything was clean and neat and there is a fan for the warm weather. Would definitely return.

Located in Balgue, 12 km from Maderas Volcano, Hostal Así es mi Tierra provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. The property features garden views. Charmingly decorated property with a lot of greenery. We had a lovely private cabin with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. Lots of friendly animals on site. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Hostal Bullshark is a recently renovated guest house set in Cuatro Esquinas, 16 km from Maderas Volcano. We had an amazing stay at Hostal Bullshark! Friendliest and sweetest accommodating hosts, the prices couldn't be beat, and it was really an incredible location for what we wanted: peaceful, close enough to run down the hill to the beach, proximity to the famous Ojo de Agua can't be beat. Great, affordable motorcycles available to rent on-site, the most comfortable hammocks! Very private and perfect for couples or families who are looking to experience Ometepe's incredible nature in a well-placed, authentic setting. If we ever return to Ometepe we will be back!
