We stayed 3 nights after spending time in a tambopata river lodge. Kapievi is a wonderful peaceful place with delicious food and quiet isolated rooms in a tropical setting.The pool is very welcome in the jungle heat. We had the inhouse vegetarian 3 course meal twice (different menu). The meals are beautifully presented, good portions and delicious. The staff were also very helpful arranging transport into the center of Puerto Maldonado. The location is on the outskirts of Puerto Maldonado so a taxi is necessary to and from. It's not walkable.

Comfy beds, everything clean, and the pool was very nice to cool off. Drinking coffee watching the sun rise at the balcony in the morning also was a highlight. We loved the beautiful garden with his dog, the chickens and the neighbor cat. Elmer and his family are so friendly, and they are willing to help with anything. He even arranged and gave us a Lago Yacumama tour, and we had a campfire our last night. It is a small drive from the city (we had a car), but Tuktuks regularly pass by and there are taxi's. I hope I get the chance to come back in the future!

ROSA'S HOUSE ligger i Puerto Maldonado och har en trädgård, en gemensam lounge och grillmöjligheter. Det finns gratis privat parkering och boendet erbjuder flygplatstransfer mot en avgift. I really enjoyed my two-weeks stay at Rosa's house ! :D Rosa and Elvis are beautiful people, very kind and friendly ! Kira and Kuka, the two dogs, are very friendly and affectionate too ^^ It's a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, the perfect location to relax, rest and meditate or going on adventures in the jungle. Rosa's house is at walking distance from the centre of Puerto Maldonado (about 1 hour) but if you don't want to walk, you can take a tuktuk or a mototaxi passing by. I highly recommend this place !

Tronco Tambopata Adventure ligger i Puerto Maldonado och har trädgårdsutsikt, en restaurang, en bar, en trädgård, en terrass och rumsservice. This was our second stay at Tronco Tambopata, and it felt like coming back home. We were so warmly received and hosted, and only wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were super friendly once again. Highly recommended!

Passiflora Camp erbjuder boende i Puerto Maldonado, 15 minuters bilresa från bussterminalen. Varje morgon serveras en kostnadsfri kontinental frukost. Rummen har delat badrum. Sängkläder ingår. Senor Eduardo is very welcoming and an excellent cook. He made us feel at home, helped organize tours and even came with us in the night to see the baby caimans in a pond on his land. The location is very quiet and secluded, the habitacion very intimate and in the night you can hear the multitude of birds that inhabit the area. Also, a monkey was on our roof during the night.

Tambopata Hostel ligger i Puerto Maldonado. Här erbjuds en amerikansk frukost och gratis WiFi. The breakfast was delicious, you could eat as much as you want, and the rooms were very comfortable, there were some mosquitoes though, but I think it's because it's the rainy season. The staff was great!
