Quinta Vilar e Almarde offers rustic-style accommodation in Castelo de Paiva. Lovely building great mix of traditional and modern, very tastefully done. Facilities were great and staff very helpful. Would recommend as great value.

Situated within 13 km of Natur Waterpark and 37 km of Douro Museum, Casa do Santo - Wine & Tourism features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Provesende. We had a wonderful experience at Casa do Santo for our 2 night stay. Maria was very hospitable, helpful, and knowledgable. The views of the Douro valley are beautiful. The small, quaint village is a quick drive to the Douro river with amazing views of the hillside vineyards. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again when we return to this area.

Offering mountain views, A Tendinha - Guest House is an accommodation located in Peso da Régua, 1.1 km from Douro Museum and 14 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

Moinhos do Paiva is set in Castelo de Paiva and features a private pool and mountain views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Nuno is an outstanding host. He seems to have a special worldview. His place looks like a piece of heaven, he welcomed us with open arms, gave us recommendations around the village, allowed us to use all the facilities - unlimited pool, kitchen and public living room, check out until 2pm with an elaborate breakfast. He suggested us to stay even after checking out to use these facilities. The environment gives quality time with nature, we rested and enjoyed. Only one minor thing-the road to the place includes sharp descents with narrow road-alleys that only good drivers can manage. Thank you for the time in Paradise Nuno. We will definitely come back to stay.

Located within 17 km of Longroiva Hot Springs and 41 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Apartamentos Barbosa offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vila Nova de Foz Coa. The apartment is beautifully renovated. It was comfortable and convenient to shops, parks, and historic sites. It is very well equipped for self-catering with all modern equipment. The washing machine was really appreciated, as was the fresh fruit and sweets... a very nice touch! The terrace was a bonus! Carlos was quick to communicate, and it seems he really cares for his guests. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

FAFEL LITTLE HOUSE - Quinta de Cravaz, a property with a bar, is set in Lamego, 1.4 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, 16 km from Douro Museum, as well as 36 km from Natur Waterpark. Everything was very clean and nice. Studio is quite small but cozy and for two days it was enough. We didn't cook so I can't tell how it would be if we did. Bathroom is nice and spacious. We booked studio on 2nd floor but the owner gave us 3rd floor for a better view.
