My partner and I were in the area to attend an event and decided to stay at the Gifford Risley House. We were absolutely blown away by the quality of our stay, from the impeccable attention to the decorative details throughout the house to the quality of the breakfasts served and the outstanding hospitality provided to us by Monika and Z. The breakfasts were delicious-- both consisting of multiple courses of food, including Eggs Benedict on our final morning. Monika and Z were so friendly and accommodating to us, which made all the difference. We stayed in the Queen Anne Room and it was more than comfortable and beautifully decorated. The B&B is just a few blocks from downtown Media, which is full of restaurants and shops.

The common spaces and decoration is really something else, with special care given to collecting and arranging furniture for a library and living room matching the manor's era. I came during the winter but Harrisburg in general and this area especially should be pretty and green. The real outstanding thing about my stay was the hospitality and helpfulness of the people that run this place. They really wanted to buy some cool manors and renovate them to show them off to guests and the dedication to making their guests safe and comfortable is really 20 stars!

I would recommend
