During the week, The Old Ship Inn is a picturesque traditional pub and on Friday and Saturday nights it transforms into a lively venue for karaoke, DJs, and live bands until late into the night. In the very centre of town, Dorchester’s oldest pub offers en-suite rooms, Wi-Fi, and on-street parking nearby.

From the second I arrived Nicola at the Old ship was an absolute gem to meet. She was so warm and welcoming. Then showed me to my lovely spacious room. I felt like i was at home in the Old ship. Such a lovely person

Set 26 km from Monkey World, Higher Moor Farm offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

The lodge offers a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries and shower. A fridge, a microwave and toaster are also offered in the kitchen, as well as a kettle.

I don't know where to start, it was just such a peaceful cute place to stay!! The pods were over at the side away from the caravans and people camping in their tents. The pods were tiny but surprisingly enough room for a comfortable stay. The pull out bed was so comfortable and did not feel like a pull out bed at all. The pod had a kitchen area with microwave oven, grill, hob, fridge, kettle and toaster and just enough cutlery for the two of you. There was a small TV that had the channels you needed or we brought a firestick to watch more. The campsite was central and was a really easy drive to Weymouth seafront and only half hour away from anywhere else. Staff were really friendly as well in the farm shop. You also had your own parking space directly next to the pod.

Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.

Beautiful location and cosy interior of the hut. The hot tub was already prepared by the owner, ready to use when we arrived. The fire place created a warm and elegant atmosphere.

Lovely hosts, helpful and welcoming after a long day. Great facilities. On main road so a little noisey but just shut window. Good quality ingredients in breakfast. Would recommend and will be back to stay again.

Just a lovely quaint pub with AMAZING food and great rooms too. Highly recommend. A bit disappointed that the bar shuts early on a Sunday night, but to be fair we were able to order drinks to enjoy in our room or the garden.

The location, setting & hosts who are attentive yet not pushy & allowed us to chill. Lots of local walks (& details supplied in the cabin), local pub serving traditional pub food & plenty of places to visit within a short drive.

Great rural Dorset location, perfect for getting to the coast within 25 minutes for the coastal path. Very compact cabin space but really well thought out - perfect for two people. Everything worked well - lovely shower room and really good kitchen area for our needs. Very friendly and helpful host who changed the bed arrangement (double to twin) despite my having failed to request this in advance. Very nice to have the jug of milk in the fridge etc. on arrival.

Our second stay in Birdie, one of the shepherd's huts and just as good as the last. Very well equipped with towels and bedding provided. Good music on Saturday which we enjoyed listening to sat by the fire-pit.

William and Linny were exceptional hosts. Although it was a bit further out in the country than I orginally thought, it was in a beautiful village with charming cottages nearby. The chalets were amazingly peaceful and clean with everything you needed.

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for them. They made us feel at home. Our dog loved their dogs too. The cabin is cute and cosy and a fab location for days at the beach if you have transport. It was also very clean.
