Charl was the perfect host, very friendly, helpful, gave very good recommendations, took a lot of time to show us around the farm and let us experience the historic specialties. Waking up to the sheep and goats grazing right outside our door and being greeted by the three friendly dogs was a special start to our days.

Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.

Very lovely accommodation into the forest of Graskop, very friendly staff and owners! Also great value for money, as we got a whole chalet with living room, kitchen, bathroom and sleeping room plus veranda for our own. Moreover, very nice to have a chilled evening at the fireplace in the living place.

It was a perfect place for relaxed two nights. The owner Rainer was super helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities. He also gave advise on which streets to take and which not. His wife made amazing breakfast, serving not only home made jam but also home made bread and brezels. Our favorite was sitting at the fireplace in our own chalet in the evening. The chalet could easily house 5-6 people on two floors.

The fireplace adds to the perfect atmosphere and the cabin is next to a fish pond. host answered every question patiently and was friendly and caring. There is a nice walking trail in the forest. Short drive from town surrounded by indigenous forest. We liked the German style breakfast, very quiet nights, and the atmosphere of the wooden cabins. What other establishment can learn from this, is the abundance of SA “two point” (European style plugs) which most SA cell phone and camera chargers require. Small things like this help to make a holiday without worries!

The wooden cabin was extremely clean and cozy with the fireplace adding a nice touch, especially in the cold weather. Rainer and Wallie were super friendly and helpful. The little dam and walking trail give the place extra character. The farm felt secure and it is extremely well kept. Great value for money, 10/10 would recommend.
