Trevlig och hjälpsam personal, både i receptionen och restaurangen. Mycket bra frukost. Toppen läge och bästa utsikten över vulkanen. Mycket bra turer. Gjorde tre och alla var väldigt bra organiserade med super trevlig personal. Hög kvalité på turerna! Rummen hade avfuktare, vilket var mycket behövligt.

Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails ligger omgivet av en drygt 340 hektar stor privat tropisk regnskog, och har en sjö, en pool, en solterrass och ett spelrum. Här bor du bara 3 km från vulkanen Arenal.... fantastiskt läge. bra restaurang. bra pool bra fågelmatning

Onca Tours & Treehouses ligger i San Rafael och erbjuder boende med utsikt över bergen samt en trädgård, en terrass och en restaurang. The hosts welcomed us very warmly and helped us with booking our tours to Rio Celeste and Cano Negro (which we had with Juan Rio - one of the nicest tour guides we‘ve ever had!). The tree houses are just amazing and inmidst of nature. We‘ve got the chance to hear and see jungle‘s wildlife and you even have the option to swim in the Rio Celeste near the accomodation for free! Also big thanks to Odir, who offered us a free ride at his new opened adventure park! We would recommend everyone to stay at the Katira tree houses, when visiting Rio Celeste!

La Fortuna Waterfall Bungalows ligger 2,8 km från Slimnic citadell och erbjuder luftkonditionerat boende med en trädgård, en terrass, en balkong och gratis WiFi. Carla is such an amazing host. Very friendly, available and full of good recommendations. We have a very pleasant stay in the bungalows, nothing more was needed. It was perfect and the breakfast option was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place ! Thanks Carla for everything!

Chalets Silencio del Bosque ligger i La Fortuna i regionen Alajuela, 10 km från Slimnic citadell, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi, en grill, en trädgård och gratis privat parkering. The stuff was super friendly and prepared the best casado we had during our trip to costa rica (have to try the homemade chilie sauce). Also unexpectedly good was the included free frog spotting tour. Even though the chalets were rather tiny they felt spacious and were indeed very private. This is definitely no 5-Star Hotel but as best as eco-friendly individual tourism could get.

The property was perfect for us as a couple. Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.

The setting is absolutely incredible! Views for miles - out to the cloud forest beyond! The property has nice, rugged trails that let me feel like I was in the wild, yet safe to walk alone exploring the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Jay’s guided night hike wowed us and inspired my 12 year old daughter, Ophelia, to emulate his trained techniques. She continued to observe and listen carefully for the distinct sounds of various creatures for the remaining weeks of our Costa Rica trip…. and sure enough, spotted a bunch! The Toucan lodge was adorable and comfortable. I loved sleeping in the dense darkness listening to the nocturnal activities of the rainforest! The meals and juices were delicious - like “Is there any more more of THAT?” delicious! The hammocks, the mirador, the trails, song birds, the colors- oh, the colors!- the love and joy that abounds at Cecropia is very special. Jay and Nohe are beautiful souls. I am so happy I stayed at Cecropia Lodge and was able to support their environmental project.

Once the sky clears up you have a fantastic view on the volcano. we only stayed for one night but we wouldn’t want to leave in the morning trying to stay as long as possible. couldn’t get away from all the hummingbird action. the communication with our host was all via app but super responsive and stressfree. I personally like it when I have someone to talk to in person but I totally understand if this is not always possible. And as I said: I always got an immediate response. I would totally recommend this cabin which was well equipped and spotless clean. And by the way: the view is the same (or maybe even better because higher up) as at the resort furrher down the road where you‘ll pay ten times as much and have to share it with other guests 😀

Boca Tapada Lodge ligger i Boca Tapada och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi och en trädgård med en terrass och flodutsikt. Excellent service. The rooms are perfect and comfortable with a nice view of the river. Great breakfast. And a paradise for birdwatching. Macaws and many more. Augusto is a great host, and the owner, Alfonso, and his family will make you feel at home.

La Finca Lodge ligger i Fortuna, 35 km från vattenfallet La Fortuna. Här finns en utomhuspool och en bubbelpool. WiFi är gratis. Avskiljt och lugnt, men nära till aktiviteter. Bra frukost och middag. Jättefint boende med härlig trädgård och uteplats. Hela familjen var toppennöjda.
