The room was small but clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast included much choice, including made-to-order eggs. There was secure parking for my bicycle. And finally, the bathhouse and private beach area of Hotel Nikolasch directly at the lake was a dream.

This Gasthaus is an older established guest house, and exactly what we were looking for. This is not a brand new glass and stainless steel cube, this is a first class haus in the old world tradition. It was perfect.
Located in natural surroundings, Metzgerwirt features a restaurant, bar, terrace, and a garden. Guests can relax in the spacious lounge area which has a satellite TV and dining table.

We stayed for a week-long ski trip around the new year. Overall, we had a great time. The cooking was exceptional, every day. Very attentive table service. Our room -- while not the biggest one on offer -- was comfortable for us (2 adults, 2 kids) and tastefully designed/decorated, e.g. from the quality wood furnishings to the old stove (heater) serving as a bench to the blue trim along the ceiling. We did enjoy the pool and whirlpool, but unfortunately didn't have enough time to enjoy everything there was.
