Very helpful and hospitable owners, flexible, smooth communication in English. The host provided us with the Phyrn-Priel Active Card for all days of our stay, which we appreciated. The location of Gästehaus Fortuna is ideal - near to grocery shop and to restaurants, still very quiet. Ideal to go around Hinterstoder or to drive to Vorderstoder or Spital.

I like this place very much.
I like this place very much. It is a small picturesque village and perfect for skiing with children. You can walk everywhere and you will find a choice of restaurants to have a pleasant dinner. We went to Dorfstub'n, Jaidhaus and Stoda and all three were very nice. Due to Covid some of the other restaurants we called only serve own hotel guests, though. Hinterstoder is also worth a trip in summer if you like being active.

The town of Hinterstoder it's really small, just a stop between hiking/skiing and relaxing - you reach the end of the town in 5 minutes walk..
Anyway you'll find there anything you need, from pharmacy to bank to minimarket.
In summer many hotel offer the Pyhrn-Priel AktivCard that you can use for the cable car to go up the mountain and many other discount.
Around Hinterstoder are many path to walk, in summer you can cool yourself also in the river (if water is not so cold for you :P).
A walk along the river bring you to the Kneipp-Park and to a wonderful (but small) waterfall.

Nice little village, but completely dead during summer, we barely found one restaurant open in the evening when we arrived, we could have starved if it were not open. I'm sure it's very animated during skiing season, but not in summer. We used it as a base to go and explore elsewhere (the lakes, the abbeys). We also used swimming pools located at a driving distance between 20 min to 1 hour. There is nothing in Hinterstoder to pass the time other than cycling and hiking, both of which I don't do. The nature around is wonderful, no doubt about that, and it can be just the right place for someone who wants a quiet and relaxing holiday.
The aparthotel is located in a wonderful area. The hosts are very welcoming.
The apartment looks amazing. The wonderful view. Huge yard. Mowed grass. Place to walk the dog. Playground. A lot of places for hiking.
Fresh air!
Free parking. And they have a lot of parking spaces.
Complete silence between 10.00 p.m. and 8.00 a.m.
An ideal location for families with children.
I regretted that I booked only 5 nights.
SENSATIONAL!
The hotel is located in a beautiful valley: you can enjoy Mountain View from the balcony. The creek flows just a couple of meters near the house.
Rooms are nice, cozy and clean. There is always some fresh hot bread for breakfast.

There are detailed maps with all routes at the reception desk.
