I was looking for somewhere to stay on my way to Vienna, that was a reasonably short drive away, so I could arrive refreshed. Landgasthof Hinterleithner was the right distance away, and looked like it would be in a nice location. I didn't have any particular expectations. It turned out to be a fantastic restaurant, with some rooms. I think I was the only guest. The room was large, with a separate sitting area and a balcony looking over fields toward the Danube,with a small but good en-suite. And the restaurant was excellent, although I needed some help with the menu. It was also very full - it's obviously a place that people travel to. Breakfast was also excellent. As I have family in Vienna, I will remember Landgasthof Hinterleithner, and hope to stay again.

This cosy hotel is located in the centre of the picturesque town of Persenbeug on the Danube River, directly at the Danube Bike Trail between the Strudengau and the Nibelungengau regions.

The room was clean but very dated, dreary and depressing. The bed very comfy. The hotel restaurant looked quite nice but was closed on a Sunday and we could only peer through the window.
