Half a day is all it takes to spend in styer .. it looks like the town is one major old street from the middle ages , some coffee place and general shopping. The big attractions is the place where the two rivers merge . It's unique and beautiful

Steyr is a wonderful small town, with plenty to see.
Steyr is a wonderful small town, with plenty to see. Lots of beautiful nature, but also the incredible old town center. It's really easy to get around on foot, with lots of walkable streets and alleys to discover. I was really impressed by the beautiful architecture of the old catholic churches, which were absolutely breathtaking on the inside. The only thing I would prepare for better next time around is the everchanging weather. A good pair of waterproof shoes, an umbrella and layered clothing for easy removal is a must.

The lovely old town is full of character.
The lovely old town is full of character. Plenty of pleasant strolls possible. We would have enjoyed some cultural offering, but we noted that the few concerts performed in Steyr are fairly rare. We were there on a Monday, which is not a good day anywhere for concerts, but our checking showed that even on other days we would have been lucky indeed to find a performance.

Steyr is one of the old historic towns of Austria.
Steyr is one of the old historic towns of Austria. It´s beautifully located along the River Enns. It´s certainly worth a visit and you can easily spend a nice day or two exploring the town and its surroundings! It´s only a short drive of approximately 40 km from Linz, which is the seat of Upper Austria.
The hotel is built into the rocks so that the reception- & restaurant are on the upper level and the rooms are below. We had only an over-night-stay with our little girl but everything was comfy and the staff friendly & helpful. You cannot access the entrance directly by car but it is only a short walk and a few stair to reach the reception. We have a room with a nice view to the counrtyside. Next to the hotel is a nice church and the hiking trail are very nice too.
Beautiful location with recently renovated, clean and spacious rooms. Stunning breakfast room and lounge. Baby loved the complimentary babybed. Warm and professional service appreciated, and good value for the room. The private spa area has ambience and it's very clean. Breakfast outstanding as well. Steyr is well worth a visit and this is a good place to stay.
Welcoming small and friendly guesthouse in a quiet part of Steyr. Our hostess told us of a pleasant and easy way to walk to the old town. Thunderstorms and a torrential downpour led us to stay in the guesthouse for an evening meal. We were glad we did. Good wholesome food at really value for money prices. We could not have enjoyed our stay more.
The room was spacious and well furnitured. The breakfast was good and it was available earlier than the official breakfast hours which was very useful on the rush business days. The parking was easy and free of charge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I used this hotel several times and always with good experience.
Absolutely the best place to stay in Steyr. Above else great people and service, a fabulous location - and the most beautiful view facing the confluence. Great breakfast with a spectacular view. I've been traveling to Steyr for 12 years now - and I choose to stay in Minichmayer.
we stayed out off hotel in separated 500 years old house, which was wonderful, spacious rooms and as we were traveling with kids, we had no worries about disturbing anybody :) breakfast was nice and also the breakfast room is outstanding, we had very pleasant stay
The location is amazing, you might need to have a car to get to the town centre. A part from that you have an amazing view of Steyr from the top of this beautiful hill, surrounded by nature. Bastian and Michaela are very nice. I highly recommend this place.
Great location, just outside the historic city center. Easy access by car and reasonably priced underground parking. Groceries and other shops in the same building as the hotel. Friendly staff, clean and quiet room, comfortable beds. Good internet access.

Very good, well presented hotel in Steyr, and my preference when travelling with work.
Mader is a beautiful old property right in the main street of the old town. We loved the personality of the hotel and the bar and restaurant on site also.
