A special place, with eclectic style, that is travel inspired. a short 10 mi ute walk fro. city center on a quiet street (wait, all the street in Alice are quiet). There is a large communal kitchen that is a place to eat, cook and meet other travelers. The staff can offer discounts on popular tours, e.g. Uluru.

A place on the decline. Very few local businesses still open or operating. Few options other than pub meals available. Drinks in local bars very expensive. Do not go out on your own in town after 2100 hrs. Be prepared to be humbugged by the local indigenous people. Thought I was travelling through parts of South Africa with high fences and barbed wire. Can't see myself returning again, there's no reason.

It was a nice town that has been effected by covid - not as bustling as it used to be with most shops on Todd Mall closed down but there are efforts underway to revitalise which will be great - fantastic to see all the local art

LOCALS ARE GREAT. THE TOWN IS GREAT. VERY RELAXED. JUST AVOID THE WHINGERS RUNNING HOTELS AND ANYONE NOT BORN IN AUSTRALIA. THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO SCARE AND PUT FEAR INTO VISITORS FOR NO GOOD REASON AND DO NOT EMPLOY ANY AUSTRALIANS.

Visit the Museums and Araleun Cultural Precinct, very friendly informative staff. Sacred women's site is located at the back of the Araleun Centre, and a 300 year old corkwood tree stands in the sculpture garden. Beautiful, affordable, hand crafted items at the Cultural Centre run by volunteers; clothing, hats, cards, ceramics, jewelry, and pottery. The Mega Fauna Centre is excellent. Amazing art can be purchased from galleries and artists on the street. Support local artists directly if you can. Many coffee shops, bars selling good quality coffee and food. Would recommend House of Tallulah and Epilogue..delightful staff and good food/coffee...and alcohol after 3 pm at the latter. Must call in to sample local beer and pizza at The Alice Springs Brewing Company..excellent! Olive Pink Botanical Gardens is a comfortable walk from CBD with a return walk along the Todd River. Stay a couple of days.
Kathy and Karl were wonderful hosts. They fed us when we arrived late enough that everything was closed, and on our return for a second night, let us do our laundry and hang it on the line. Kathy’s breakfasts were delicious and Karl’s gardens were beautiful. We stayed one night, drove north, and came back to stay a second time. It was like coming home!! We enjoyed our conversations, appreciated the help we were given, and loved all the extra touches given to us. Our stay in Alice Springs was made better because we stayed here.
This is a pleasant hotel close to the town centre. There's a lot to like- nice surrounds and trees,, good car parking, nice pool, restaurant onsite with outside seating aswell. I had a lovely meal and breakfast there. Staff were lovely and helpful. An average room, the bathroom was great-updated, good shower pressure. The room was quiet too, I couldn't hear tv's or voices from other rooms. The place has everything you need for a stay in Alice Springs.
Good priced accommodation in Alice Springs
Comfortable, spacious room with everything we needed - tea/coffee facilities, toiletries, towels etc
Good hotel facilities including reasonable laundry services and BBQ area
Staff were helpful and will help you to order a taxi if needed
Location was ok and short walk to local shops and restaurants
Clean rooms and reception area
Secure luggage storage facilities
The apartment was spacious for 2 persons and quite comfortable too. The place was clean although the front yard needs some mowing. However that had no impact on our stay. The kitchen was adequately equipped for fixing simple meals and the knives were even sharp, a frequent complaint of my husband. Alice Springs is not a big town so we didn’t have to drive far to shop for food.
Staff were great. They were helpful. Parking, there isn't enough parking for all rooms so its a first in situation, having said that, there was more parking than at the last hotel we had previously stayed at in Alice Springs. The room was nice and recently modernised. It's walking distance to everything in town. The attached coffee shop did an excellent breakfast.
The comfortable bed and pillows. I love to have a balcony or terrace and really appreciated this. There is so much concern about being in Alice Springs at present, however, as long as you use common sense and I would suggest avoid going out in town after dark... things are fine. I felt very safe at the hotel
Central location, easy to find. Undercover secure parking, Exceptional staff, we had a small fault in our room and it was fixed immediately and they even compensated us , the apartment was beautifully set out , well maintained and had everything you could need, Including a washing machine. Absolutely 5 stars.
Location was excellent. Room wS comfortable and clean. Each of the staff over the 3 nights, 4 days were exceptionally friendly. Each one, down to those precious ladies who cleaned our room were helpful, friendly, able to advise us, had time to speak with us. They all deserve 5 stars. Well done.
Just on the outskirts of town Desert Palms has plenty of parking, great staff with a small shop attached. Good size pool, handy laundry with clotheslines. Idea for a 5 - 6 day stay in Alice Springs.
Beds are good shower water pressure excellent, small kitchen without a stove was fine
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The design of the resort is excellent and walking distance to town. They eventually gave me a small refund for the issues mentioned below. Good parking and safe environment. Lunch on the first day when it finally arrived was excellent.
An absolute gem in Alice Springs. We stayed 3 nights and it was the perfect accommodation to commence our travels in The Red Centre. Informative hosts, super comfortable beds, squeaky clean, sumptuous breakfasts, super relaxing outdoor areas, beautiful pool......
Dated but spacious and comfortable room. Nice pool area, onsite gym. It's a distance to the town centre but this is to your advantage as the Alice Springs town area is unsafe. Use taxis if you don't have your own transport and be very aware of your surroundings.
Felt like a haven in Alice Springs. A great outdoor space along with other hangout spaces meant you could spend all day at the hostel. Free baggage storage was so handy. It felt very safe and clean.
Wonderful helpful staff. We were stuck in Alice Springs when the NZ bubble collapsed. The staff helped me book covid tests when our NZ phones wouldn't work. Of
