Extremely friendly and helpful staff, made us feel very welcome. Beautiful historic building and gardens. Great location, safe, quiet and value for money. Restaurant on site for dinner. Our room also had a decanter with what we assumed was port (didn’t partake on this occasion), which was a nice touch. Good selection for continental breakfast in rooms. Was nice to sit under the verandah and enjoy the gardens.

Lyreen’s Apartment was bright, spacious and there was a great attention to detail throughout. One of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Our lovely host even sought us out after we checked out to give us an item we accidentally left behind. Great service.

Love the tranquility! Surrounded by beautiful vineyards (and two wild Joeys 🦘), we absolutely enjoyed the glamping experience. The stary clear sky was also amazing.
The location is off-grid yet actually pretty convenient. It's almost next to my favorite winery!
The CABN was clean and well-equipped. I was grateful the host did read the previous reviews, and kindly turned the air-conditioning on before we arrived. The cool breeze when we got into the CABN literally made my day.😂

Auburn is a quiet village at the southern end of the Clare valley which makes it a great base for winery adventures and walking around - it is on the Riesling trail. There is a pub and a restaurant as well as a supermarket. The Rising Sun hotel does good dinners (just don’t expect your rare steak to come rare).

We had an overnight stay in Auburn for a quick business trip, so we weren't there to look around at all. However, it is obviously a beautiful area! We had dinner at Sevenhill Hotel - fantastic venue. Our accommodation at Lyreen's was excellent and we will be remembering this B&B for future visits.

Auburn is ideally close to Clare, is at the start of the Reisling Trail, has a great little supermarket and a really nice vibe. Add to that we stayed at the amazing 'Cullen House', a perfect little piece of paradise. All made for an amazing, romantic weekend away.

So central to everything in the Clare Valley.
So central to everything in the Clare Valley. Very easy to get aroundv- in fact we usually walked from our accommodation to the main street. The Riesling / Rattler Trail starts in Auburn at the old Railway Station.
The house was wonderful with the wood fire in the lounge and gorgeous views from the deck. The house was very well equipped, from making toasted sandwiches for lunch, playing pictionary or choosing a movie on Netflix, the owner had set up the house to make us feel very much at home. Most days we rode our bikes along the Riesling trail, explored out the back gate along the Wakefield River with our dogs, or visited cellar doors in the main street of Auburn. One day we drove into Clare and Mintaro for some more great adventures with our 4yr old.
Great Location - quiet with an easy walk to Auburn facilities - coffeeshop , restaurant in the hotel. The property was very comfortable and clean - nice additional touches with supplies of staples tea, bread etc and cooked breakfast supplies in fridge. The lounge was very comfortable - Netflix access and a 'great' wood burner fireplace which both heated the lounge and made it cosy.
Everything. We were lucky enough to have the whole package - overnight stay and the 4 course dinner at the restaurant with wine pairing. This entire experience is well worth the money. Dan is a legend & has made the Clare Valley and Auburn memorable for us.
Beautiful little cottage, and a great location in the quiet town of Auburn. Wonderful breakfast provisions were provided and the host was great. We also loved the other hospitality touches that made the visit so enjoyable.
Clean, spacious and in beautiful, quiet setting. Breakfast was plentiful and the treats were a lovely surprise. It truly was a home away from home. Great location, clise to café and hotel.
