Lovely location. Everything you could possibly need was provided and the cottage was very clean and comfortable. The owners were on site and were very helpful. They were particularly concerned we might be have been disturbed by a couple of larger groups in 2 of the other cottages, but there was no problem at all. I highly recommend a stay at Avoca Cottages!

The beds were super comfortable, and room was nicely decorated. I did however kick my shins on the bed corners every time I walked around the room.

We travelled by car to Avoca and the scenery and roads were really good. Once in Avoca the one way street tripped us up in a country town. But the place exceeded our expectations, room for everyone to spread out. Kids loved the double bunk with single on top. The staff were very accommodating. Breakfast had everything we needed to start our day. Weren't quite sure about shower but it was better than it looked. Very hot water. Town had the usual couple of hotels with food which was delicious. We went to the Avoca Hotel and our teens enjoyed exploring the street. Really old buildings from the Gold rush days and a fitting memorial to our diggers. Enjoyed the time and will return one day!

Unfortunately many cafes were closed during our brief stay.
Unfortunately many cafes were closed during our brief stay. A petrol station with workshop is on one corner as you go through town. On Sunday had enough time to visit the Stickybeaks craft shop where I found a delicious Summer Berries tea and a book.
I can not speak too highly of this property and its owner. My wife was taken ill and we intended to drive home missing some bookings, but she improved to the point that a stay in Avoca seemed warranted. We arrived a day early hoping that our booking could be advanced. The owner was able to accommodate this and did so with great courtesy including an upgrade in the process. This is an ideal place to stay if you wish to visit the many wineries in the Pyrenees Region. Full marks to the Avoca Motel.
Over Easter 2024 we stayed in several accom facilities around the Ballarat, Stawell, and Avoca region. These other motels could learn a lot about how a guest facility should look and feel like using Avoca Motel as an example.
The room was really good compared to others - well appointed and clean. And the spa and shower were fantastic.
The rates were also very good, and hosts Candice & Andy were very friendly and helpful.
Will certainly stay there again when in the region.
Fantastic getaway country accommodation with relaxing gardens and patio deck that entices you to take in beautiful country scenery and serenity of abundant bird life. Walking distance to town, clubs and parks with plenty of options in Pyrenees Ranges of Vineyards, Sightseeing, Bushwalking activities. Absolute First Class Facility and Great Value. Do not usually post many reviews But Avoca Cottages is thoroughly worthy of praise.
Managed to get a quick break between lockdowns in Victoria and this was just what we needed. Peaceful and so very relaxing in a lovely setting. The cook-your-own-breakfast was a wonderful surprise included in the price and an incredibly generous amount. Jane, the host, was extremely welcoming and made us feel quite at home. I cannot praise it highly enough! Thanks, Jane, we'll be back when these lockdowns are finished!
We love this motel and it's the only place we choose to stay every time we come to Avoca. The owner is so lovely! The room is always clean and warm, the shower has the best water pressure ever and the beds are really comfortable.
Incredible value for money and right in the middle of beautiful Avoca! Shops and cafes within walking distance and just a short stroll to the river too. Perfect location!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Super room, very large and a very comfy bed. The location is terrific. Avoca is a lovely place to stay. I would definitely choose to stay there again. The owner even let us do our laundry there. They also have plenty of kitchen equipment if you choose to eat in.
Very comfortable cottage for me and my kids. Perfect after a hike in the Grampians with spa bath and massage chair to soothe sore muscles. Great layout with cottages facing the river red gums and central deck area. Also recommend having a meal at Avoca hotel, delicious food!
The Avoca Motel was clean, quiet and in a great location. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable! The manager was so love and attentive. She made sure our stay was as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We had a lovely time!
Spectacular experience of the classic Australian motel that's sadly disappering from the the holiday landscape. Beautifully maintained by genuinely welcoming and personable owners, the best way to stay in delightful Avoca.
A very comfortable stay, within easy walking distance to the Pyrenees Unearthed festival and the Main Street of Avoca. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and crockery.
Peaceful location. Clean, very spacious room. Close to the centre of Avoca where we ate at the Avoca Hotel. Great to walk along the river. Easy check in.
