Was just like it was before on our previous visits. Not a negative comment. After travelling, and to walk into a clean and comfortable room, it was very pleasing. Recommend to others without any issues. Great location to all amenities in Beechworth.

The property sits in a beautiful garden area, off the road, so it was nice to sit on our balcony and watch the birds.
Never enough time to see Beechworth. Easy walking to the different amenities. Very historical town and well worth the effort to see what is on display such as the court house, Burke Museum. Great eating at night time in the bistro at the Hotel Nicholas, but book ahead as it was flat out. Meals were amazing and well priced.

Been to Beechworth before but it is just delightful especially in Autumn. Nice lot of shops and walks if you like. Just relaxing in the sun is always good. Lots of history to explore if you like. Lots of good cycling too if that's your thing.

Very friendly people, especially in the Visitor's Centre.
Very friendly people, especially in the Visitor's Centre. They have recommendations for tours and useful maps. Beautiful town to just wander around but also lots to do and see. The self-guided cemetery tour is fascinating, as is the prison tour. Don't miss the Burke Museum with its row of shop fronts from Old Beechworth. Listen to stories from the past in the Telegraph Museum. On Mayday Hills you can go on a history or ghost tour of the old asylum which is very informative. Also, there are escape rooms and a great puzzle shop! Visit Bilson's brewery for free tastings of the many flavours of cordial (or alcoholic drinks), and the Beechworth Honey shop for honey tastings. There is also the lolly shop and the Beechworth Bakery and lots of other eateries in town. Should be a definite stop for anyone travelling in the area!

Beechworth is a lovely village.
Beechworth is a lovely village. Visit Indigo Winery (just outside Beechworth) for a brilliant wine tasting and a delicious lunch of local produce and it's dog friendly. A trip to Yackandandah is a must. It's an even prettier village than Beechworth. Great selection of shops, including a custom hat maker. Dinner at the Empire Hotel in Beechworth was fabulous. A trip to Beechworth wouldn't be complete without a visit to Bridge Road Brewers (dog friendly courtyard), pizzas are yum.

Beechworth is a lovely historic town that is clean and maintained well. The wide roads and main town plan is well layed out. Loads of history, variety of shops, great local gourmet food and produce/wineries and great jewellery shops! The big trees that line the streets offset the old historical buildings. Locals who have that good old fashion welcome. This region is a little Gem- in all seasons!
We stayed for 3 nights in Beechworth Cedar Cottages. Set in beautiful gardens our 2 bedroom cottage (named Ingram) had been very well maintained and was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was provided and the facilities generally in the cottage were excellent. I cannot recommend Beechworth Cedar Cottages more highly than to say that we found our cottage to be, without doubt, the best we have stayed in during many trips through the rural areas of Victoria, NSW and South Australia.
The room was broken into a bed area and another room was the living room. Both small yet comfortable enough, as they used to be individual sleeping quarters for nurses. During the early night and early morning to heard the wonderous bird life of the area eg the kookaburras etc. A real delight and looking out the window rabbits nibbling. The walk into town for food was fabulous, walking past many nice homes. Overall a quiet retreat to stay within easy reach to all other facilities.
There is no food/restaurant at this accommodation but we did eat dinner at the nearby hotel that they recommended and it was very good. Short walk into town the next morning and went to the busiest bakery for breakfast. The actual accommodation was superb. Beautifully decorated with wonderful little touches to explore. Wonderful gardens to meander around or sit and spend time contemplating. Will definitely be back for more than just a single night stay.
Jackie and Kym were amazing hosts that looked after us and we easily became friends during our visit for work in Beechworth. Our cabin was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake, photos really don’t do it justice. The highlight was our disco shower which we loved so much thanks so much Kym lol. The caravan park is stunning and was so beautiful to come home to and wake up to with a coffee. Thank you so much Kym and Jackie we can’t wait to return.
Charming motel with great ambience , complimentary breakfasts , a small shaded pool and the loveliest owners Stephanie and Daniel . Comfortable rooms with good mattresses and a very recently upgraded bathroom . Barbeque area has shade and chairs . The only suggestion I can make is there should be some instructions on how to use the audio visual systems. Thanks so much I will recommend your accommodation .
Dean the manager is a lovely, friendly guy and exceptionally helpful. Rooms are large, well laid out with bedroom, bathroom, and comfy sitting room. The hotel is a hidden gem of exceptional location in a wooded setting. There is history to be discovered regarding the former use of the Mayday Hills precinct.
The location was very convenient to explore Beechworth and surrounds. The room, while sparse and very tired was spacious and the king size beds were large and comfortable. Even though the rooms and hotel itself is very tired and starting to get a little bit dilapidated, the room itself was very clean.
The breakfast was great. Poached eggs just as I asked for and really nice bacon.
The motel room was more like a hotel room and tidied beautifully every day. Clean and really warm with thoughtful touches.
Beautiful historic house in great location in Beechworth. Very welcoming, informative host, lovely large room with comfortable bed, delicious breakfast included as well as welcome drinks and biscuits.
Self contained unit in the centre of town but extremely quiet. Walking distance to everything. Good breakfast provisions included. Fantastic meals available at the pub onsite.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times. It's a very convenient location. A 2 minute walk to shops, restaurants etc. Very spacious and comfortable room.
The Beechworth Carriage Motor Inn was centrally located, very comfortable with good amenities. Walking distance from local shops, hotel and restaurants.
