Camperdown has a lot of history, an information centre, a tall clock tower, volcanoes, lakes and scenic lookouts. The motel has all the basic amenities and was comfortable.
Heytesbury House is a great place to stay but Cobden itself...
Heytesbury House is a great place to stay but Cobden itself is really lacking facilities and the pub was closed so we ate at the Golf Club which was really poor.
Would recommend going up the road and exploring Camperdown which is a stunning town with more food options.
Fantastic view from all windows, it was fun spotting the cows and we even had some come up on the other side of the fence near the cottage one morning.
There’s so much to do during down time with plenty of games, books, dvds and cds plus the pool table and dart board. The aircon worked well to cool the place on sunny afternoons and the bed was quite comfy.
Robyn was a lovely host who showed us around and provided a well-stocked kitchen!
We would definitely recommend a stay at Cobden Crest Cottage and hope to be back soon!
It was a comfortable, quiet cabin on outskirts of town. Bed was comfortable, kitchen well stocked and the verandah was lovely to sit on for a cuppa or afternoon drinks. Hosts were friendly, helpful and left clear instructions for easy access. Great value for money and would be happy to stay again if in the area. Short couple of minute drive to main street of Cobden and easy 5-10 minute walk to Golf Club to dine out. Bonus was the Mum and baby koala in the gum tree next to the cabin!!
Good location, very quiet and peaceful. Small tv but was great having access to Chromecast. Good having access to an extra warm blanket as it was very cold weather. A 10 min walk into very quite town..nice bakery for breakfast and Thommo's hotel does great meals. Only 3 CUB beers on tap so not great for Craft Beer drinkers. Nice day trip taking in Timboon (Whiskey distillery), Camperdown (nice town/shops and architecture) and Port Campbell (Brewery and apostles.)
Very interesting historic house that has served he people of Cobden well for many years and now a very well positioned B&B in lovely garden surroundings. Comforts include a really nice guest lounge with open fire and leather Chesterfield sofas and bedrooms with lovely antique furniture. Breakfast was excellent! We'll stay there again.
The position is very good. About 10 minutes from Cobden and a great place to explore the Great Ocean Road. The views from the cottage are beautiful and the breakfast provisions were a bonus. It was one of the best equipped holiday rentals we've ever stayed at. Everything worked well and there was a lot to like about the cottage.
Beautiful decor, the room was immaculate and we enjoyed lovely hospitality from Kathryn and Andrew. Cobden is within 1hr driving distance of the Great Ocean Rd, Warrnambool and the Otway Ranges, making it a lovely quiet spot to rest. Will definitely be back to try a different room and enjoy the hospitality again!
Location was perfect for my needs as I was visiting a friend in Cobden. 2 mins away.
Quiet and comfortable with nice little extra touches.
Portable cot setup on my arrival.
I would definitely recommend this property. Value for money.
Correspondence was exceptional.
Would definitely stay again.
