Dunwich is a very relaxing and quiet slice of North Straddie with everything you need all in one place. The sunsets here are amazing and the people are very friendly. You can go fishing, jet skiing, hire a scooter or bike, go kayaking or canoeing, have a bbq or play some sports - there's plenty to do on this part of the island. There's a road full of convenient shops and local cafes and you can stay in awesome glamping tents, cheap onsite accommodation or pitch up your own tent on Bradbury's camping ground. Personally, Adams Beach is one of my favourites. It takes about 15-20 mins by car to reach Amity Point or Point Lookout.

Dunwich is pleasant it has shops, a supermarket, Celebrations for alcohol, Petrol station, an interesting Museum op shop etc. You can travel solo on ferry and catch buses on the Island to travel about. Point Lookout has a structured boardwalk which goes round the point where there's a blow hole further along we saw a pod of dolphins diving for a feed. Kangaroos along the grassy area and also a turtle chasing fish in a quieter spot. At 70 I made the effort to do the whole walk which was very rewarding. Amity Point was worth a visit and lunch at Seashells was huge and very filling, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Can't wait for my next holiday visit
