A friendly town with all the essentials. Easy place to drive in. Close to Mackay. The local airport is small by efficient. Mackay airport is only 2 hours away. The Moranbah Coles is large and everything is fresh. The local bakery is brilliant. The vibe is easy going, relaxed and friendly.

The town is a forgotten town, nothing there for the family to do plus it is extremely hot. The Council should look at putting some infrastructure into the town for the residents. Everyone travels to Mackay for the weekends which is taking loads of money from the Moranbah Community.
The Workmans club was fantastic, thank God it was there, we dined there 3 times in 3 days.
We went to the pool which was really enjoyable but it closed at 5pm??
The pool is the only activity that can be enjoyed by a family. It is too hot for the children to be outside of the air-conditioning.

Moranbah is a busy mining town, probably a little bit dusty but seemed friendly enough. It seems to have essential facilities for families for recreation and work. Gardens and streets are maintained reasonably well.

The shopping centre and a town Square have all the essentials. Public pool is brilliant for babies to adults and a welcome relief from the heat. Plenty to do for toddlers in the water playground, BBQ and grassed areas and pools are covered. It’s a great country town! There’s a Thai food caravan on Mills Ave some nights (yum), Chinese restaurant , workers club, steak bar and the usual fast food outlets.
Very expensive and felt I was held to ransom being very little accommodation left in Moranbah. Paid $367 for an average room. Could have paid for a lavish room in Melbourne or Sydney. Was also asked to wash to the dishes before I left. Did not feel good at all staying there.
Easy to book, Great after hours check in service, rooms spotless and sanitised, guys reported cleanest, most private spot they've stayed in for a group project in moranbah.
