Beautiful place to stay! We were a family of five and stayed a week. It had everything we needed. The cabin was warm, cozy and comfortable. Clean. Heat pump kept it nice and warm on the nights it was cold and raining. Electric blanket warmed fast and was great. Overall a great experience and a great stay BUT what made this place amazing was the new owners. We stayed last year and while we liked the place itself the staff were rude not very accomadating. This stay was a completely different experience. The staff were amazing, the owner and the cleaning staff were great. So accomadating. We left our wet towels out to dry on our balcony and typical Tassie weather it rained overnight so the owner grabbed our towels for us without being asked and put them in the dryer and dried and folded them for us and had them sitting in the covered outside patio waiting for us on our return back to the cabin. They were more than happy to provide extra towels etc when needed, and always had a welcoming smile. He was great to talk too, had great tips! Will definitely be back, amazing stay. Thank you 😁

Orford Blue Waters Hotel, hotel in Triabunna

Located in Orford, a 11-minute walk from Raspins Beach, Orford Blue Waters Hotel provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The attached restaurant and bar was convenient. However we had to wait over an hour for main meals. There was a tour group in before us which obviously overloaded the kitchen. They appeared short staffed as the staff who were there were very busy, often running between orders.

Very nice bed and breakfast on a cool property. Loved all the wallabies and rabbits that visited several times a day to our picture window view from bread. Great breakfast. Great location close to an IGA and the ferry to Maria Island. The host Mary was very pleasant.

Nice regional Tasmania town with limited but adequate places to eat. The nearby harbor was pleasant and we enjoyed strolling around the town. Bus stops for bus services were convenient and easy to find.

Everywhere is worth visiting. Stop at small towns.

Everywhere is worth visiting. Stop at small towns. What they have to offer can be a pleasant surprise. See the history and how old meets new. Triabunna is a handy small place between bigger places and, of course, it's where you catch the ferry to Maria Island. We ate at a great fish and chip shop at the wharf and there are other food places to choose from. It's all good.

    We had everything we needed.

We had everything we needed. Microwave (most important for us!), kettle, toaster, tea, coffee and milk. All the amenities everyone requires but if someone needed a full kitchen I would recommend asking for a cabin. We had lunch at the Fish Van near the wharf about 3 blocks away. Best fish and chips I have had for a long time. They have a full menu of everything seafood as well as burgers etc and ice creams and milkshakes! It's very easy to get around the town. Walking is easiest. Local IGA is only a short walk away to stock up on supplies. If you want to go to Maria Island. remember they don't sail over there on a Tuesday! Plan your trip around that!

Triabunna is a small very friendly fishing village that has now become a yachting marina. Maria Island is a huge attraction here with the ferry leaving from here on the half hour cruise out to sea from the jetty. Maria Island is a car free National park that is virtually a treasure chest of protected species of Aussie animals for us to be able to walk among in a wild state. Wombats everywhere . so cute, wallabys Tasmanian devils and the bush walks range from easy to quite hard. Something for everyone. The Cruise, Spirit of Maria, cruise right around the island and you get to see cliffs, caves fossil cliffs and beautiful beaches in a full day cruise. We are going again.
