Location was excellent, right across the road from the water.
The room we stayed in was spacious (king sized bed), clean and comfortable. Room was quiet, even with the noise of the pub downstairs. Could hardly hear it. Would stay at this hotel again.
Victor Central Cottage Perfect Location is located in Victor Harbor, just a 7-minute walk from Victor Harbor Beach and 14 miles from Coorong Quays Hindmarsh Island.
Located in Victor Harbor, the 4.5-star McCracken Country Club offers luxurious accommodations, an 18-hole golf course, and panoramic views across the Hindmarsh Valley from most rooms.

We stayed two nights and were given an excellent, spacious room for the price, with a wonderful view across the golf course to the ranges. The facilities were top notch and clean, the bed was very comfy and the only noise we heard was a passing thunderstorm! The breakfast (included in our rate) was tasty and filling. The Danish pastries were especially good. The foyer staff were always helpful and friendly. While we didn't use the indoor pool, sauna or the gym, I did have a look at them and came away impressed.

I like the location and how affordable it was. I was traveling by myself yet the room was quite wide so staying in was never uncomfortable
Lovely town with gorgeous buildings. Easy to walk around lots of restaurants and cafes. I recommend going to the information centre in town, we found the staff super helpful. The scenery is beautiful, if you have a car there are plenty of lovely drives and small towns around Victor Harbor. We were there in April so recommend bring jackets and umbrellas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We did the train to Goolwa, it was ok just disappointed the steam engine wasn’t running.
We had takeaway at Noodle Bento in the main shopping centre, delicious! Chicken Laksa and Mongolian Beef, thumbs up!
Nino’s for coffee and their egg and bacon rolls another thumbs up!

Victor Harbor is always a nice place to visit.
Victor Harbor is always a nice place to visit. We walked to Granite Island and around the main part of town. They had the Artisan markets plus the general Sunday markets which are always fun to visit .
Even though it was a long weekend the supermarkets were opened if you needed to purchase anything
Dinner at Nino's did not disappoint, beautiful food and great service

Local life pleasant and laid back, quiet during the week, busy on weekends as tourists flock into the area.. local pubs and restaurants cater to all tastes and budgets. The location offers many activities for families and all ages.. beaches, fishing, hiking. Several coastal townships nearby - literally 5 minutes away to drive, with so much history to explore. Regular local markets and activities, fun runs, art displays in the park, walks across to Granite Island, and much more... all free - with a few boat rides and train rides and even camel rides at reasonable prices.
If you like the quiet atmosphere, skip school holidays.. but if you are OK with the friendly busy vibe.. plenty to enjoy for all.. sideshow rides and park stalls go up in busier times - ofcourse, the horse tram to the Island is a staple for all to enjoy.

Victor Harbour is a beautiful seaside location on the Fleurieu Peninsula offering plenty of walks, beach strolls and parks for picnics or relaxing. The historical tramway is a fun way to access Granite Island - where further scenic walks are available - or access by the causeway is also a good option. The Cockle Train rides between Victor Harbour and Goolwa are nostalgic and fun and allow you to hop on and hop off to enjoy Port Elliott and Middleton along the way.
There are plenty of accommodation options, shops to browse, coffee shops and eateries for a variety of food. The town also has medical services, major supermarkets, hardware stores and other service providers. Other interesting places to see on the Peninsula are accessible by car. A great place to holiday!

My stay at Back Valley Farm House was below par.
My stay at Back Valley Farm House was below par. No cooked breakfast, which was advertised as an everyday thing. Not much heating. I definitely had no control over the heating. I was accused of damaging a screen door and I did not. The place is in very poor repair. The screens have not been serviced or looked at for a long time. They were full of spider webs. The customer service did not exist and the owners of the place were not friendly or welcoming at all

It is a great location and within walking distance of most things in Victor Harbor. Plenty of eateries and coffee shops in the area and close to the Cockle Train Victor Harbour station. Unfortunately, we had to go to Port Elliot as there were no trains running from Victor Harbour when we were there. The train trip to Goolwa was really nice and a market at the station was worth visiting. Plenty of shops and eateries to fill in a couple of hours before the return train trip.
It was in the heart of Victor, right across the road from the beach and a very, very, very short walk to the main shopping precinct and Granite Island. Huge comfy bed and very effective air conditioning. Room was immaculately clean. The room had everything we needed. We ate in the bistro and the food was good and competitively priced. There was onsite guest parking. Great spot to stay to explore Victor Harbor and the surrounding towns and sights.
Beautiful well appointed apartment complete with antiques and original artworks, with fantastic ocean views. The apartment has everything you could wish for. You can cook an elaborate meal, wash and dry clothes, watch netflix and dine on the balcony. It is located right in the middle of Victor Harbor with basement parking.
Very quite location, just 100 meters to the beach. Drive to Victor Harbour center is very easy. The room was very clean and witheverything we need. The host was very helpful. He met us at the cabin and handed us the key because we did not have Aussi mobile phone to receive the password.
The whole experience went according to our planning. Victor Harbor HCP was a good base to operate from to visit family and friends and to enjoy the coastal environment. Easy access and egress procedures to and from the park. The park environment was very quiet.
Yelki is a haven by the sea! The accommodation is over 100 years old and is comfortable, homely and has all facilities to make a stay perfect for everyone. Parking on site, surrounded by serene gardens and a view to the Bluff and the sea. Can't wait to go back.
Room was comfortable.
Great view.
Access to restaurants and other leisure activities.
Close access to Granite Island, the steam train which travels between Victor Harbour and Goolwa, amusement rides and close access to the beach.
Beautiful place with extra room. Owners left bread/milk and breakfast necessities, which was really appreciated. Very well located, close to everything. Off road parking and laundry machine in the building was really convenient.
Plenty of room and well equipped in the accomodation . Excellent position. Very close to shops supermarket and close to the main attractions in Victor Harbor.
