Rode bicycle there from Leuven for the SuperPrestige Cross race in town. Perfect accommodation for my bike and I and easy ride into town center. Had a bar at the indoor tennis courts which was cool to hang out in and watch some balls back and forth. Asked for a Trappist beer to take to room and being a perfect Belgian host, he handed me the proper chalice to take as well! Little thing we Americans really appreciate.
I mistakingly left the hotel after a great breakfast without paying as thought the fee was collected by booking.com. The owner called me a couple days later and was super friendly and understanding and we worked it out easily. Will definitely be back next year for another excellent stay.
Stay in the charming little village of Tombeek and absorb the peaceful atmosphere in the family-run Hotel Avalon. Savor the friendly ambiance of this small-scale hotel and its comfortable interior.

La Hulpe with a car and outside the traffic jams is incredibly close to Brussels, the Solvay park, close to the hotel is certainly worth a visit. As the hotel itself, it fits very well in the current sport practice.
I really liked the pool and the spa. The rooms were very well designed and comfortable. We especially liked the fact that our room was directly connected to the woods. The hotel is located in the most amazing surroundings and you feel like you are in the middle of the woods. We absolutely enjoyed the amazing breakfast at the hotel.
The staff is very friendly and professional. The facilities are taken care of. We tried the spa, the pool and wellness, the restaurant (the summer bbq in the evening was delicious!). Everything was perfect. Also a big plus, is the location: the hotel is in the forest and there are beautiful paths to go for walks around.
Excellent breakfast with very nice choices, very quiet location in a nice garden environment, very helpful hosts, free parking, walking distance to La Hulpe train station and thus ok-easy commute into Brussels, nice bedroom and bathroom.
We've been several times at this hotel. Quite good structure although pool/sauna area is undersized. Breakfast is good, as well as the restaurant (and the restaurant staff). Extras in restaurant/bar and spa are extremely overpriced.
Our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was extensive and everything was delicious. The service was excellent everywhere in the hotel. We visited the pool in the morning, everything was clean and met our expectations.
This B&B is just out of this world! I travel quite a lot and have appreciated various venues from hosted by owners to 5 star hotels. If you're willing to drive a little off the beaten tracs, this one is a gem!
Location is wonderful, but the hotel is so large that we felt a bit lost. It's more a business hotel/conference center; I would not recommend it for a romantic getaway. Breakfast is good.
We liked the beds (even the sofa beds). The staff were friendly and professional. The area of the hotel is good for relaxation and exploration. The breakfast was good.
